Farm Assured?!
Answers: I read labels on supermarket food that say 'Farm Assured'. Because I am a believer in animal welfare and believe that animals have a right to exist in humane conditions, what exactly does that mean. I understand 'Organic' and 'Free Range', but 'Farm Assured' seems pretty meaningless.
"farm assured", like "free-range" "grass fed" or whatever other happy labels companies like to slap on their overpriced "happy animal" food are mostly there to make consumers feel good. Although you have stated you are an animals welfareist. As far as I can tell that position basically supports the exploitation of animals as long as it's done nicely. I personally wouldn't trust the industry to actually live up to any standards these labels are meant to imply, and often they have no agency ensuring "quality control" in regard to the animals' welfare.
I find it's best to not consume the products of animal exploitation at all, regardless of whether it's claimed that it's being done "nicely".
Organic does NOT mean free range dont make that mistake it just means they were fed non GM foods so its healthier for you but they are still locked up!!!!!
Dont trust anything apart from the words "free range" if that is what you are looking for!
Farm Assurance means that certain standards are set and monitored in a formal way on farms. From what I've read, it has to do with the quality of the meat and not the quality of life for farmed animals.

ahem...
it means you can eat it.
and its not like the margarine youll be spreading on it
that is actually one molecule short of being plastic.
"Farm Assured" simply means the final product has passed supposedly stringent quality controls at the farm level. It is for the most part a marketing gimmick to assure consumers that they are getting the best quality that the farmer can offer. It says nothing about the quality of life of the animal prior to slaughter.
