What's your favorite kind of jarred spaghetti sauce with no meat?!

Question: I'm stuck in a rut with the same old kind of sauce and would like to try something new.

I make my own, and no pre-made stuff, will ever come close to how good my sauce tastes like.

If you want the super simple recipe, you can email me.

Prego-- hands down.

If I get anything else, I add in a small can of Tomato paste.

Rao's is my favorite, followed by Mom's( if you like alot of garlic).
I'd buy either if they only carried one of the brands, but if the store had both, deffinately Rao's.

newmans own is fantastic or clasico is good as well

I like Ragu. I do not like to eat just the sauce out of the jar. I always add other ingredients to make it my own. I add sugar, worchestire sauce, hot sauce, ketchup, onions, peppers and mushrooms, garlic salt or powder, dried Italian seasoning and pepper. It makes a wonderful sauce. I have to make it all the time for my family. We love it!

Muir Glen is organic and meat free. They have dozens of types of sauces, and they taste wonderful!!

I always make my own. It's a lot better!

I love Newman's Own Sookaroni. It has tomatoes and peppers in it to give a hint of sweetness but still very flavorful.

Paul Newman's Own. Any of 'em, they're all good, and the proceeds go to charity!

Same here prgo

Muir Glen makes an excellent organic one with several varieties. I also use Classico sometimes. Usually I add some fresh veggies of my own to make it really "hearty".
Watch for the ones with cheese if you are a vegan, read the labels.
Last summer I learned to make a Raw one that was amazing.
Slainté (to your health)

Prego has an organic variety and Prego is my fav brand anyway, hands down. Nothing could come close to homemade though.

Make your own!
Tinned toms, tomato puree, chilli, garlic, onions, herbs and spices then keep changing it until you find a few combinations that you love (and you'll never have too much salt or any sugar in it!)

Newman's Own Sockarooni

Lots of mushrooms and bell peppers in it.

David G stole my answer! lol.
I agree with him - Classico and Newman's Own are two really good sauces that don't have a lot of processing "extras" in them. If you look on the ingredient list of your average jarred spaghetti sauce, sugar is usually one of the first few ingredients.
WHY? I personally have no idea. I don't need sugar in my spaghetti sauce, thank you very much.
Check out the roasted garlic Classico or the tomato basil Newman's. Both are good choices.

rebel I like the one with the mushroom but at the end I always toss a blond blond into the pot cause my diet requires meat

Prego is gross. I use Bertolli brand all of their flavors are good but I like the vineyard flavors the most.
