  • I don't wear cosmetics ('cause I'm too lazy to get all prettied up in the morning!) but I do buy soaps, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. that has not been tested on animals and contains no animal products.

Animal testing is cruel and pointless. There's no guarantee that cosmetics and drugs are safe, even if they've been tested on animals. The physiological differences between humans and other animals prevent the results of animal tests from being accurately applied to humans.

I buy cosmetics, cleaning products, etc. that aren't tested on animals. Lush is a little pricey but it's one of my favorites!

I think it’s an atrocity along with every other way we humans hurt animals. I’m a vegetarian and compassionate consumer. I don’t wear animals. I read the labels on everything. I won’t buy from companies who test on animals if I can help it – I aim to buy cruelty free and I love it! These damn companies need to get with the program, get a heart and stop torturing/maiming innocent animals!!

I think animal testing is wrong for several reasons. Not only is it cruel to the animal, but the results are not effective as to how humans will react to a product. Lets face it, rabbits eat their own feces, but if humans did, we would get sick. What makes an animal sick, is not going to be an accurate account of how humans will react to a product. As for cosmetics, I make all of mine homemade, using ingredients I grow or produce, or buy from local sources. I make lotions and lipstick with beeswax and beetroot powder. I also make all of my own soaps, household cleaners, laundry and dish detergent, etc. That way, I know EXACTLY whats being used. I do this to avoid toxic chemicals and allergens-its cheaper, more fun, and a cool hobby.

Animal testing is cruel and unecessary and I buy products that not only state that they do not test on animals but also ones that are biodegradable so they don't hurt our enviornment as well.

I'm totally against animal testing. I go out of my way and will even pay top dollar for cruelty-free cosmetics.

Animal Testing is unnecessary in my opinion, especially for cosmetics and bath/body products.

If there is an ingredient used that the manufacturers think may be harmful, caustic, acid, cause pain or inflammation, etc. that ingredient shouldn't even be considered for a product that you apply topically.

I haven't bought anything from Lush yet but they look like they have some great soaps, lotions, shampoos, and stuff.

I think animal testing is wrong....not just from an ethical point of view, but from a scientific one...animals are physiologically different to humans and therefore drug/chemical testing doesn't always give accurate results (see Thalidomide)

I try to always buy animal free/testing free cosmetics (Clarins, although expensive has a totally animal free range which is awesome). And if I can't find the information easily, then I tend to avoid that company.

    It's wrong made animal testing!
I buy only cosmetics that aren't tested on animals !

I don't wear cosmetics but I don't buy any products from companies that test on animals.

Animal testing is horrific and unnecessary and I always do my research on cosmetics before I buy them. I have a list of products that do test and don't test on animals and try to avoid all that do.

Of course - I love the new "Cruelty-Free" labels they have on things now, so you know it's not tested on animals and contains no animal ingredients.
I think animal testing is disgusting, it really makes me sick. What is it... 70% is for cosmetics? Less than 1% of medical testing prooves useful? It's a joke...

I make sure to buy products that have been tested before I buy them. However the manufacturer chooses to do it is up to them.
