What do vegans do on easter?!
im not a vegan im vegetarian, im just kind of curious.
Answers: like, since they cant eat normal easter eggs? do they just not eat easter eggs at all, or is there a substitute.

some dark chocs like Green and Blacks or Divine have got no dairy products in it so they can eat that! (I'm lactose intolerant)
my mum brought us sugar eggs...they contain no animal products at all. They are just icing and sugar. YUM :)
They realise that Easter is a just a way for rich people to make more money, so opt to remember Jesus Christ, instead.
Hot or cold pasta dishes, lots of sides like sweet potatoes and or mashed potatoes, green beans, grain based dishes like risotto, beans, lasagna, breads, desserts such as fudgy vegan brownies. And no they don't eat chickens eggs on Easter or ever they use a soy based egg substitute for baking and even to make mock egg dishes like Quiche or fritatta.
You can get vegan eggs yep.
I know that the Simpson one is vegan and Green & Blacks do a range x
It depends on the family tradition. My family has a pot luck tradition where everyone brings a meal so I'm bringing a vegan dish with me and I also made these great dark chocolate dipped strawberries this morning :)
So either way I'll have food, but there's salads and baked veggies and all sorts of stuff on the table I can have anyway.
I never ate Easter eggs anyway - I never liked hard boiled eggs. If I were celebrating Easter with kids, I would get ceramic or wooden eggs for them to paint and decorate and some vegan goodies to fill their Easter basket. But it's pretty much a regular Sunday for me and I don't have kids, so it's a non-issue.
what bible school did you got to ???
Easter has nothing to do with food..
Jesus rose on this day
celebrate your salvation..
If you choose to party so be it
We've had a fabulous selection of dark chocolate, eg from Divine, Bouja Bouja and Montezuma. There are some fine milk chocolate substitutes out there eg from Plamill.
My son loves white 'chocolate' - there's a firm in the states that makes it but very little gets imported here
You cant eat hard boiled eggs but its still fun to paint them and there are many candies out there that dont have milk or egg in them.
I was raised Jewish and identify as agnostic, so I really don't do anything special for Easter. Even when I was omni, I never ate hard-boiled eggs.
let's see... after I go to church, I come home and eat Easter dinner.
I am a raw vegan, so I eat raw food. I got a raw vegan easter cookbook this year, but I did not use it. I will just add the recipes to my collection.
"Normal" Easter eggs are out of the question, because I do not use sugar, honey, or milk products.
I made some egg shaped date and almond creations that made me happy.
If you are not a *raw* vegan, then you have a lot of options open to you... most candies are sugar based and have no animal products
From vegan groceries, you can buy foil-wrapped soy & rice milk chocolate eggs, but it's kind of wasteful... this year I made chocolate and gave it to friends in plastic (re-usuable) eggs... I had planned to make rice-balls in shape of eggs and decorate with coloured nori, but it was too cold this year! >< (idea from vegan lunch box)
Mate, I've found readily available dark choc eggs that were right up my dairy-free alley. I was never really into the lighter stuff, myself! Also, a particular supermarket home brand's hot cross buns were accidentally vegan friendly. Huzzah!
i dont rly think of easter as getting hard boiled eggs, yes, im a guilty vegan, i used to eat them, quite a lot, but now i just get the candy, i think of it as a holiday for jesus, not for food...
