Your question is in the wrong section unless you are looking for a vegetarian friendly city. Personally I think medium sized cities are usually more healthy like Bloomington, IN (Roots Vegetarian Restaurant and large College IU) or Ashville NC. As far as big cities go San Francisco comes to mind as there are several all vegetarian or vegan restaurants.

However beware of getting caught up in the more unhealthy aspects of many major cities. It's all to easy to get caught up in the dark side of life.

I'd make sure you were solid on your spiritual life (and I don't mean fundamental) before getting too far out there. I suggest yoga groups, Tai Chi, Sangahas (Buddhist communities), Quaker meetings, and other, animals rights groups, and other healthy venues.

Check out Portland, Oregon, Austin, Texas, Berkeley and Santa Cruz, CA. They are all places with an alternative lifestyle vibe and lots of friendly people and great schools.

I Would Say Montreal Is The Best Place In World ! Theres Lots Of Multi Cultural Restaurants And Nice Places To Visit & Nice Peoples To Make Friendship & Chance To Get A Better Job If You Have The Qualification. Good Luck !

Not that I don't want my children to enjoy life but if I were your parent/employer and I saw this posting I'd pull your college money.

Don't worry about the city, every town has plenty of stupid boys looking for easy drunk girls to party with.

Chico State

...or San Jose, CA

why are you asking this in the vegetarian and vegan section?

charleston, south carolina...there are so many different types of people. three large colleges which means a lot of partying, a bunch of different jobs- there are so many restaurants and stores, its really pretty and there is also nice weather pretty much year around and then there's a beach!
