  • Fish are not on a vegetarian diet.

Vegetarians shouldnt eat fish, because then they wouldn't be a vegetarian. Eating fish comes from real fish, and vegetarians don't eat anything that was once alive.

    how about the nonefish.
fish feel pain and fish are alive therefore they are not part of a vegetarian diet.

Sounds like you're a pescetarian, as a vegetarian does not eat anything that was once part of the kingdom Animalia. This includes fish, shellfish, shrimp, etc...If you're a vegetarian, you're also not allowed to eat gelatin.

I've heard that salmon is really good for you. My family eats it all the time, apparently it has a lot of health benefits.

i'm not a big fish person but i really like salmon and trout.

the answer IS fish is not part of a vegetarian diet. If you want to be a fish eater that's fine but at least know the meanings of words.

Well simply speaking, vegetarians don’t eat animal flesh.

So strictly speaking, if you eat fish you are not really a vegetarian.

However, to answer your question, healthy fish would be:

Wild cold deep sea / water fish

Wild trout / salmon (and other oily fish)

Avoid all farmed fish (due to antibiotics that are used in the ponds)

Avoid fish from heavily polluted areas (due to high levels of mercury found in fish from these areas)

Avoid meat from big fish (flake/shark, sword fish)

Avoid meat from fish that are endangered

    .

You don't know what a vegetarian is so quite posing like you know everything about them.

Why are you a vegetarian when you obviously have no compassion for animals?

This is the Vegetarian & Vegan section. Vegetarians and vegans do not eat dead animals. Fish are animals. If you're eating fish, you did not start a vegetarian diet.
