Non-veg

non-veg....obviously!!!

none they are just eggs.

It comes from a chicken, not from a plant, so non-veg.

is egg what or non what?

vegetables are vege.

egg is part of a animal.

Since it doesn't come from a tree or plant then it must be non vegetarian - does logic normally escape you.

what planet are u from ?

animal product...definately non veg

An egg is not a vegetable.
An egg is acceptable for vegetarians, but not vegans.
(Well, for ovo-vegetarians, but that's assumed - or else there'd be no point even *having* the term "vegan")

An egg is *not* a chicken abortion, either, flying_pig. It's a chicken period (their version of "that time of the month") If it were ever going to be a baby chick, you'd see the fetus inside. =)

No, egg is not vegetarian
Some people who call themselves "ovo vegetarians" eat eggs, but a vegetarian does not

Yes! Eggs are veggie. They are the same as milk in that they are a by product of an animal. Make sure they are organic and free range so you know they have come from healthy chickens who are free to roam. They are NOT FERTILISED therefore they are not a chicken abortion as the other user said!

Eggs are not vegetables. Though some vegetarians do eat them. There are different grades or kinds of vegetarian diets. Only Lacto-ovo or ovo-vegetarians eat eggs.

Lacto-ovo vegetarianism
NO red meat, fish or poultry
Eats dairy and eggs

Lacto vegetarianism
NO red meat, fish, poultry OR eggs
Eats dairy

Ovo vegetarianism
NO red meat, fish, poultry OR dairy
Eats eggs

Vegans don't eat red meat, fish, poultry OR dairy, eggs, honey or any other animal by product. Veganism usually extends beyond just avoiding consuming animal products. It is a philosophical and or ethical point of view which, aims to minimize animal suffering by eliminating the use of all animal products such as leather, fur, wool and silk and avoiding products tested on animals.

Pescetarians, Pollotarians and Flexitarians are NOT vegetarians, they are are omnivores.

By veg do you mean vegetarian or vegan?

If you meant vegan, then no because they come from animals.
If you meant vegetarian, then only free range eggs are suitable for vegetarians.

Although some vegetarians don't eat anything with eggs.

vegetarian... NOT vegan

"vegetarian" is just short for "lacto-ovo vegetarian" meaning a person who eats NO meat (yes, fish, poultry, and seafood ARE meat) but does drink dairy and eat eggs..

so eggs are considered a vegetarian food.. though many vegetarians leave them alone, for very good reasons (the way the hens who lay them are treated)

It's definitely non-veg. I love them "sunny side up".
