Do vegetarians eat eggs???!

Question: Most of the people in the US who identify themselves as vegetarian are lacto-ovo-vegetarians, meaning they eat dairy products and eggs.

There are also lacto-vegetarians, who eat dairy but not eggs, and ovo-vegetarians, who eat eggs but not dairy.

A vegetarian may also opt to eliminate both eggs and dairy, which may or may not make them vegan. (Veganism is more than just a diet, so there are strict no-eggs, no-dairy vegetarians who do not consider themselves vegan.)

There are different subcategories of vegetarians (vegans do not). But many of the subcategories do eat eggs, as they're not meat.

Some do, but they all can if they want to. The eggs we eat are unfertilized so it's ok for vegetarians to eat chicken eggs, duck eggs, caviar etc...

Yes some vegetarians do but vegans do not. Actually my whole mothers side of the family are vegetarians and have a farm, the chickens lay eggs and they use them to eat.

Some do and some don't. Individual preferences will vary.

An ovo- or ovo-lacto vegetarian eats eggs. Ovo-lacto vegs eat eggs and dairy products, but exclude meat (including fish). Pescetarians eat all of that, minus meat, plus fish. Vegans do not eat meat, fish, eggs or dairy.

=)

No because it is an animal. There are a bunch of different kinds of vegetarians so you should be more specific with what kind you are talking about (there are pescetarians, vegans, etc.)

Some do some don't.It just depends on that person but vegans don't eat dairy or animal by-product including meat.

Some do, some do not. I hate eggs!! lol
