What'sa girl to do?!
So now i'm questioning-was it always there? did they change teh ingrediants-after all the box says "new" so what was new exactly? I thought just the crust.
but my main concern now is..do I eat it and feel guilty?????
OR do I throw it out and feel guilty that there are thousands of ppl starving who would love to eat that?
Would one time kill me?
Are there any other vegetarians out there who aren't strict about checking their cheese products?
let me know..i'm in a moral delema
Answers: I have been a vegetarian for about three years now, and when I order pizza I was never too concerned about asking if there's rennet in the cheese and I always buy this brand of frozen pizza..and oneday i noticed the ingrediants changed and okay..today I did lol. I put the pizza as usual into teh over and starte dto read the ingrediants again-says rennet or micro-whatever the word is...aaaahhhh

Shes not vegan she just doesn't like eating animal insides - like a lot of vegetarians.
I agree is it a moral dillema. If I were you (and if you think you can stomach it) I would eat it. However I am a big believer in not wasting. Is there anyone else you can give it to that would be happy to eat it?
The damage has already been done, its been bought and cooked. On the other hand if it was meat, like actual flesh, I couldn't do it.
That probably didn't help, I dont know what i would do either...
Just eat it and enjoy it.. Best to read ingredients before purchasing items..
So you're not actually a vegetarian but a vegan then, right? It's important to make the distinction. If you truly were a vegan, then you probably wouldn't buy microwavable pizzas that didn't distinctly say vegan.
However -- you could always donate it. I know, Crazy. Or just walk outside and leave it with a homeless person and tell him to let it thaw since they're usually pre-cooked. Really, what else are you going to do?
Well, it's already bought, and your probably hungry, no? lol, well now theres no good in just wasting it and chucking it in the garbage. Just don't eat it again (not that its against the law :P) .. I use to eat cheese with rennet because when I first started, I didnt even know what that was!
Just enjoy it :)
Keep the ones you've bought or give them away, it is a *little* wrong to just toss them, but that's just my opinion. From now on, buy organic or all-natural pizzas, they do exist you just have to hunt a little.
It sounds as if you've already decided what you want. No need to convince us if you really want to eat the pizza - we don't give a rat's *** if you eat it or not.
It's about whether YOU are willing to eat meat products or not.
i dont check cheese i like it :) eat it and enjoy it. just be happy :D and dont feel guilty enjoy it :P
I would eat it. I mean, it's not really going to kill you, and now you know, so you can never do it again if it bothers you too much.
My teacher brought up the good point yesterday, that if you throw your food out it really has nothing to do with 'those starving children in africa who could have eaten that' because regardless if you had eaten it, or thrown it out, they would have never gotten to eat the food anyway. It does seem wasteful with meat, though, since an animal dies.
But since, as you said, the bacteria is probably artificial or gotten from some other source, it's probably not a problem. I say eat it.
Good luck!!
