I'm getting married and am slowly transitioning to being vegetarian...?!

Question: I am wondering what sort of appliances I should list in my registries for a healthy vegetarian like me. For example, should I still put a slow cooker or something in our registry? Did I mention we are beginner cooks as well? Haha. My fiance is thinking about being vegetarian too so it should be easy for us to eat a lot of the same things.

A rice cooker- make sure to get one that you can also steam veggies in.
A grill pan if you plan to still eat fish
A toaster oven to make baked potatoes, etc. (and toast of course!)
A slow cooker is never a bad idea for making soups, but typically it is used to slow cook cheaper, tougher cuts of meat to make them more tender.
An immersion blender if you like to make homemade soups.
What about a mixer (such as kitchen aid) with a pasta attachment to make homemade pasta? It's so easy to make even if you are a beginner.
A food processor. I use mine all the time to make salsa, pesto, dips, and just to chop veggies for recipes.
I'm so envious you are registering, that was so fun and I loved getting all the awesome things my fiance and I chose! Have tons of fun!!!!!!!!

I'd get a slow cooker and a steamer(for veggies).

most of the stuff that you would use if you were not a vegetarian is also stuff vegetarians use
blenders, slow cookers, pots and pans, a toaster(oven), juicer

maybe you could add vegetarian cook books to your registry.

a waffle maker. cuz everyone needs a waffle maker.

FRUIT & VEGETABLE JUICER:

Top of the range brands are - VitalMax Oscar 900 OR Champion OR Green Power Greenstar 2000 Twin Gear.

These juicers can also be used to make nut butters, sorbets, ice-creams, baby food, (mincing meat), wheatgrass and pasta – so you are really getting six machines in one.

AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC RICE COOKER:

A good brand is - Telfal Classic 3.21.

Perfect rice is really hard to make on a stove top, so a rice cooker is the only way to go for perfect rice every time. It has a detachable steamer tray for steaming pasta, (fish), potatoes, veggies etc…

BLENDER:

An excellent brand is - Vitamix High Speed Blender

Great for drinks, smoothies, alcoholic cocktails, ice-cream, soups, dips, pates, nut butters, grinding buckwheat into flour, making shredded coconut etc…

CHEF KNIVES & CHOPPING BOARD:

A set of chef knives are quite expensive but will last for a lifetime. A decent large wooden chopping board made from untreated wood, is a god send.

STOCK POT:

A 2 or 3 litre stainless steel stock pot with lid

Great for soups, stocks, risottos.

----------------

I habe never used a slow cooker but I have heard they are excellent.
