A question about vegan cuisine?!

Question: Is their any vegan dishes a carnivore might enjoy? I get sick of salsbury steak, and would enjoy a good recipe.

I would recommend the following:

Cat cutlet
Steamed dog soup
Fried dog heart
Squirrel gras

See frank.. now that is a correct question to ask.. i use http://www.vegweb.com all the time.. it only has vegan recipes...

i eat a lot of smoothies; sauteed veggies; tofu, which can be prepared in countless ways; beans (mmm....lentils!); and there's so much more!

edit: if you want to eat out, try indian food. they generally have more vegan options than other types of restaurants.

edit again: falafel!

fruit salad is what we love
cucumber and tomato salad
eggplant parmigiana
roasted vegetables
veggie sushi
amy's brown rice and veggies

Curried Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
16 oz dried split peas
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 medium white onion, diced small
2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 cups water
1 carrot to grate in at the end (optional)

Spice blend
2 teaspoons curry powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 teaspoons salt
generous pinch cinnamon

Directions
Saute the onions in the olive oil at medium heat for about 5 minutes. Add garlic, ginger and spices. Saute 2 more minutes.

Add the water and stir well. Add the splitpeas. Cover and bring to a boil.

Bring heat back down to medium, let soup simmer for about an hour, until peas are tender. Grate in the carrot and serve. You can garnish with fresh cilantro if you have it on hand.

Sesame Noodles

Ingredients:

1/2 cup soy sauce
4 T tahini
4 T sesame oil
1/2 tsp or 4 pinches cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp or 4 pinches ground ginger or 2" piece ginger root, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound cappellini (angel hair pasta)
3 green onions, sliced thin, ends trimmed
1 large carrot, peeled and grated
sesame seeds and crushed red pepper flakes for garnish

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, tahini, sesame oil, cayenne, ginger, and minced garlic until smooth, set aside. Cook pasta according to package directions and then drain in a colander and rinse in cold water to stop the cooking process. Give the noodles a few good strong shakes to get the water out. Pour noodles into a large bowl and toss with soy sesame sauce until well-coated. Stir in carrots and green onions. Serve sesame noodles with some sesame seeds and red pepper flakes and enjoy.

you most probably wouldn't and i wouldn't waste my time giving you recipes you are not the least bit interested, you just wanted a question to stay in the veggie/vegan section, how sad!

get a book called Veganomicon, its great for vegan meals that taste more like meat dishes!

One thing I like to make is vegetable skewers -- they're great for cooking on the grill in the summertime. Just thread any combo of these ingredients on a skewer, and marinate in teriyaki sauce (which you might want to dilute with a little bit of water) for a couple of hours:

-cubed red pepper
-onion
-pineapple
-extra firm tofu
-eggplant
-mushrooms
-zucchini

It's really super easy, and great over brown rice!
