eXATCLY.Vince if you buy eggs from the store theres no Fetuses in them. Its ok plants have no pain.Plants are on this earth to keep us alive!Don't worry you can eat eggs you buy from the store its healthy!:)

I guess you are not a real vegetarian by eating eggs, so why are you complaining? You really don't have a point.

First, people have to eat period. or die. for that to hapen, something has to die. That's what food consumption means. So they can eat plants that do not feel, animals that do or both. Vegetarians eat plants only because many feel it is healthier, and less cruel.( Science has so far not proven that plants feel pain) The loss of a life is never denied.

Second, there are no egg fetuses in chicken eggs that you buy from the store. These are unfertilized eggs. Some vegetarians however, still abstain from eating these eggs in protest of the way the hens are treated.

Please get your facts straight next time.

i am a lacto-vegetarian. (dairy only) and i will cut out dairy at 18... the point of being a vegetarian (for some) is environmental issues. factory farming produces about 50% of the world's pollution. for others, it is a health choice. as a vegetarian, i have a 50% less chance of cancer and heart disease (drawing from my memory) and for still others (me) it is to live a less violent life... i eat plants because i have to eat something to survive... but i don't believe that the plants are conscience or aware... and i doubt they feel pain... also, i don't eat eggs for the reason above mentioned. good day to you.

whats the point?! This question pisses me off. There r many different reasons, you don't like meat, or most comonly, it is making a point about the cruilty of killing animals to eat them. Then you r talking about the difference of vegetarian and vegan. I personally eat eggs because I feel that taking a chickens eggs doesn't harm an animal in any way. Hope that helped...next time maybe b a little more thoughtful when insulting someone's views

Vegetarians may or may not eat eggs. And vegetarians most definitely do not turkey or chicken (in response to someone who answered the question before me).

I am a pescatarian and I do not eat dairy or other types of meat. The point is it just depends on why you choose to eat what you eat. I am a pescatarian because I think that I would be helping save the environment by not supporting meat and cultured fishes. Also, most of the meat has been treated and the animals don't get to live their lives normally.

Ok ur being an as*s. Number one vegetarians dont always eat eggs. We dont eat meat. And you know what there is no point in ur existence.

eating eggs does harm a chicken!
first of all-
The Happy Hens life,
Their beaks have been trimmed severely to keep them from injuring one another.
(these beaks have many nerve endings-very painful)
There are no government laws or standards regulating the use of free-range, free roaming, or free walking on egg cartons.
To US producers free-range birds are simply uncaged, crowded on a unclean floor, with nest boxes along the walls.
Chickens can live up to 15 years but after a year or two commercial free range hens are put in crates, and hauled to the highest bidder for slaughter.

But as a vegan, if you eat eggs- your supporting the chicken slaughter- the unsanitary conditions in which a chicken lives out her entire life.

So the point of being an ovo-vegetarian? Health reasons, maybe they can't give up the egg- even though eggs contain allot of cholesterol. If you are a veggie- maybe your just trying to help the environment- every little bit helps! :)
At least one isn't contributing to the mass destruction of the amazon by consuming beef- or cutting water shortages.

Hope this helped! :)

Not all vegetarians eat eggs.

I'm vegan and I don't eat anything that comes from an animal.

The point of being vegetarian is to withdraw support from this:

I eat the way that I choose to eat and you choose the way that you eat. It's THAT simple. I don't even talk about it unless someone REALLY REALLY REALLY wants to hear it.

Don't let anyone tell you that vegan people are unhealthy. It's just an excuse to stick with their own familiar territory.

I don't understand either. I actually get mad at this subject!! My brother's ex-wive claimed to be and got grossed out when we would eat meat infront of her. My brother cought her eating a piece of pepperoni once! Whats the deal with that?? She also ate gyro meat because she "didn't know what it was." STUPID! Why is it ok for vegitarians to eat chicken and turkey??? Do they know what chickens eat???

Vegitarians make me sick!!

um but vegetarians don't eat eggs or if they do they aren't really vegetarians.
