If you want to be a vegetarian what are good proteins to eat?!

Question: every vegetable contains protein, so you can eat whatever you want. The idea that if you stop eating meat you will become protein deficient is a myth. You will only have problems if you eat only one or two vegetables, because you need to eat a variety, but thats true of non-vegetarians as well.

My friend who was a vegitarian ate soy for his protien. Peanuts and something else I can't remember.

"Quorn" contains everything you need that you loose from not eating meat

You can get proteins from pretty much all nuts, beans, tofu or fake meat products, (like boca burgers). Or Textured Vegtable Protein.

Beans, whole wheat flour, soy products. Legumes (like beans, lentils, and tree nuts) are the best sources of protein outside of meat. These kinds of protein are harder for your body to break down and use than meat, so you want to be sure that you're drinking plenty of water. Good luck! Try and stay healthy.

beans and rice together form a complete protein...that's what over 2/3 of the worlds people eat....

cottage cheese

tofu , rice

Peanut butter is high in protein. My mom is one and she eats lots of peanut butter but she eats eggs too. She just dont eat anything that use to have eyes or was actually alive and breathing.

whel my sisters a vegitarian and she eats alot of beens for protein also she takes iron supplements... she could eat eggs but she prefers not to lol shes kinda in the process in becomingvegan

Tofu, beans, lentils, tempe, soy milk, soy beans, nuts (peanut butter) seitan, shiitake mushrooms, fortified cereals and pastas. Tempe has 19 g per serving! :)

What sort of Vegetarian do you want to be? A Vegan? A Lacto Ovo? or the fake kind who eat chicken and fish?

You have to ask yourself why you want to be a vegetarian and if you like eating vegetables and legumes.

Vegans do not eat any meat or animal by product such as cheese or eggs and they do not wear leather or wool.

Lacto vegetarians eat the same as vegans yet eat cheese.

Lacto ovo vegetarians eat the same as lacto vegetarians yet also eat eggs.

You get your protien from legumes such as bean, lentils and peas, eggs and cheese, tofu and soy products.
You also need Iron in your diet and need to eat lots of green leafy vegies.

Vegetarianism is not a thing "just to do" so think about the reasons your doing it and see a nutritionist to make sure you do it the right way for your body and your body type.

GOOD LUCK :)

Beans, beans and more beans. Legumes come in a variety of sizes, textures, and flavours. Legumes are chock full of protein, and come in cans, or you can buy them dried and rehydrate them. They are great to use in stews and curries instead of meat, and also bulk out vegetable soups. They're really filling.

Chickpeas, Borlotti Beans, red or green Lentils, Kidney Beans, and White beans are all available at the supermarket, and are really cheap. You can use them in salads, or add vegetarian curry paste to them, mash them, and use them for tacos. And they're cheap. They are so much cheaper than meat, and much better for you. They're very easy to cook with. I make curries out of chickpeas and vegetables. They taste really good.

Hope that answers your question.

Best quality protein containing food items are Almonds, whole wheat bread, cashews, yogurt, spahetti, peanut butter, soybeans, egg (if u eat), skim milk and milk products.

Beans, peas, lentils, nuts seeds, soy products and wholegrains are all good vegetarian sources of protein.

EVERYTHING that isn't pure fat or carbs has protein. That is ANYTHING that is composed of whole ingredients.

If you avoid junkfood and you eat three balance meals a day, it is nearly impossible to develop a protein deficiency. The most significant sources of protein are grains and legumes.
