Add a bit of cayenne pepper if you have any to make it a bit spicier and give it a bit of a kick, Only a bit though, Its really hot so to much will burn your throat.

Things like sage and garlic are good as well, Not to much that itll over power the rest of the ingredients though.

Garlic, pepper, if you havent added already

hi, was going to say cayenne, but i was just too slow!
really good idea!!!
try a bit of garlic? :)

Basil and Oregano and garlic powder go really well with a tomato based sauce.

beanfeast by bachelors in a packet ,tomatoes, some fresh corriendia some spices .
am i invited to your dinner table i can bring some very nice wine if you like

Just sprinkle some chilli powder in the sauce

I add broccoli and spinach to most red sauces. Provides lots of bulk and nutrients and few calories.

I hope hubby and the children are not suffering just so you can put a bikini on.

Grated carrots.

What I do for kick is chop fresh raw garlic up very small with chopped walnuts. Together with a little salt and you have the best vegan Parmesan ever. Also, chili flakes of cayenne like others have suggested is a great way to at a little ZinG!

Try this at home my friends... fresh garlic, walnuts and salt. You wont believe how much it tastes like parm, and it has a great kick!

Try mincing 2 cloves garlic then toss it in hot oil (on pan) in medium high till almost golden then sautee chopped onions (about 1/4 or 1/2 cup) w/ garlic till translucent. You may sautee mushroom and courgettes in few minutes... then continue your cooking process to your recipe.

(Sauteed garlic and onions has always been a basic cooking technique used in Asia-Philippines, Thai, Malaysia, Vietnam etc.)

Note: golden brown garlic is better to mix rather than the raw for it gives more flavor without the odor.

adding 1 teaspoon soysauce is a good variation as well.

enjoy cooking!!!

LOL! I love your picture! Hhahahah! Miss Janet Piggy! hehehee

Oh and you're sauce sounds good the way it is. Yummmm.

Cheerio!
