Are most canned beans vegan?!
Answers: I know some beans are cooked with meat for flavor. so do they tell you in the ingredients? Cuz I bought some fat free refried beans and it doesnt say anything about meat in the ingredients but I'm still worried because I have seen beans that claim to be 'vegatarian' but i couldn't find them today. Are they vegan ? Should I eat them?
The fat free refried beans should be fine. Last I checked, they were water, beans and salt.
Most plain canned beans like black beans, kidney beans, navy beans and chickpeas are totally vegan. Something like baked beans are where you'll run into a problem. Just read your labels.
"Beans" usually means the seeds of bean plants.
Without telling me the brand or listing the ingredients; can't guarantee it, but if they are fat free, chances are pretty good they are vegan.
The ingredients should be beans, some water, and flavorings (usually salt, onion powder, garlic powder, spices, etc.). That would be it so you should be fine.
yes - 99% of beans are just beans
Read the label. Most of the time, canned beans are just beans. Enjoy.
Legally, the ingredients list must disclose all ingredients. So just check the ingredients list. If it's fat free, it's probably vegan tho.
