I use So Good - you have to put the milk in first, let the water from the kettle cool down and then pour it in. Don't make it with boiling hot water.

Can you describe exactly the steps you follow when making it?

Heat the soy milk slowly first in a sauce pan then add it to your tea..

rice milk is the key. soya is nasty in tea. its ok for coffee but i have never been able to stomach in tea. a good alternative to rice milk is almond milk. the benifit of both these is that

a. you don't have to faff about heating milk up for a cuppa

b. you get tea that tastes like tea rather than has a strange soya taste about it.

I have this problem when i use the So Good in coffee, and just occasionally in tea!

It seems to curdle!

Try and let the tea cool down a bit before putting the milk in.

Try Alpro soya milk i dont seem to have the same problem with this!

Why does Alpro soya curdle when I add it to tea or coffee?
If you put instant coffee in a cup with soya and pour over boiling water it can curdle. This is because of the reaction that occurs due to the acidity of the coffee and in the case of tea, the heat of the boiling water. You can get around this by making your tea or coffee and leaving it to cool slightly before adding your Alpro soya. Alternatively you can make (or buy) delicious soya cappuccinos, these work well because they are made with real ground coffee which isn't piping hot.

I have never had a problem but this might help those who do! :) from the alprosoya website.

because so good is no good. The separation happens when it is not fresh, there are organic ones available such as pure harvest which are better since so good is owned by sanitarium and they are owned by christians and don't pay tax and so they drive all the other aussie vego companies out of business. (big breath) so support a small organic producer instead!!!

Did you get the cold one or the long life one? Vitasoy does a great cold one called so milky you can get from most big supermarkets. But they are also owned by somebody evil, i think coca cola. It is the best tasting soy milk i have tasted (i always have it in my tea btw) but I'll encourage you to try the smaller indy products first in case you like them.

The alpro soya milk doesn't do that, we use it all the time.

Are you sure it wasn't off ?

Or you could try rice or oat milk, they are not so creamy and taste very good.

you added milk before the tea brewed !! Oh, how common ;-)

A friend of mine who likes soy milk in her tea puts the milk in after the tea has been brewed. As far as I know she doesn't have a problem with curdling.

alpro is the best. it wont curdle in tea

Use Silk brand soy coffee creamer. It works for tea too.
