Why people who eat meat feel the need for to explain, that person is crazy or not eat good?!

Question: I agree with you, but this also works the other way. Some veggies also like to preach their eating habits to meat eaters

Answers: I agree with you, but this also works the other way. Some veggies also like to preach their eating habits to meat eaters

xenophobia

I don't need to explain or justify my diet to anyone.

A few more decades of school and may just master English sentance structure.

You are correct.

Meat is not needed for good health. ;o)

Not all meat eaters are like this. I find it mostly the other way round with vegetarians/vegans preaching to meat eaters how bad and cruel they are for eating animals.

because people are uncomfortable with other people around them who don't fit in to their way of living.however I have tried the veggie diet and i must say i dont agree with it my hands were cold all of the time .

the lack of meat in your diet is making your brain feeble

I dont like meat eaters

that mean that they dont care about anything

selfish

I find this interesting, too. Many people say to me, "Oh, I'd do that, too, but it's so hard. I give you so much credit." I always let them know it's not hard, and they could do it, too. It's easier when the person knows a little about vegetarianism/veganism, when you explain it's not a chore and that you enjoy the food & lifestyle, most people come around.

If they don't, I suspect they feel guilty around you, or feel that you are judging them for eating meat, whether you are or not.

Do you also find that people try to go out of their way to let you know what things they do that are "green" or human rights oriented? I have quite a few people who make a point to let me know that they only buy environmentally friendly _________, donate to animal shelters, fight for Tibetan freedom, etc. when they find out I'm vegan. Great, what does THAT have to do with anything?

I personally think they are jealous of our wonderful cruelty free diet, and i think deep down they wish they had the compassion to be one.........that's why they spend all their time in here!!!! :)

Well, I respect your opinion. Yes your English is poor, but your question is good. I am sure I would be very poor in your native language.

I find people who eat animals get defensive. There could be a number of reasons, as I do not eat animals, it would be wrong of me to which ones.

Also, many people think a vegetarian or a vegan is lacking, so eople that are vegetarian and vegan defend themselves. However in defending our self, we get told that we are weird and preaching!

Even if we vegetarians and vegans, were asked a question and we just give information of the dangers of eating meat, all of a sudden we are coined "preachy". It is very easy way for people to continue eating animals, without a guilty consciencous.

Yes some meat-eaters feel the need to criticise and preach, but I’ve honestly never met one of them in real life, just encountered a few on this forum.

And yes, of course vegetarians can get sufficient nutrients.

You have to laugh, don’t you? This person has the cheek to criticise YOUR use of English:

‘’Well, as soon as I find an interpretor to deciphor (Interpretor?? Deciphor?? )
what in the h*ll you are asking, I will. (Will what?) In the menatime, (Menatime??) I think you are asking why do people who eat meat diss on the veggie folk... This question delves down to deppeer (deppeer??) facets then what you are implying here.’’

And I’ve only pointed out the most glaring mistakes. And he’s writing in his native language. Pots, kettles.

Meat is good for you. And I also eat lots of vegys and fruits and so on. I prefer to eat healthy!

Meat eaters do accept veggies, I think you'll find it's the other way round in the real world. Veggies should respect meat eaters choices and shut up.
Eating meat is natural, why do you think you've got those pointy teeth in your head?!

"meatarians think veggie fiod is bad...? Isn't that an ignorant statement to make since omnivores , as a demographic group, actually eat more fruits and vegetables than vegetarians?

Just because people eat meat, it doesn't mean that's all they eat does it? And why do they need to explain? Because many vegetarians (a specific category in which you belong) are so pushy and preachy with your own beliefs that you think putting down other people's choices is a good way to justify your own.

Err ...... sorry.... We the omnivore love eat meat/veg/fruit. We don't have to explain about our diet but hey since the veg*n ask we answer as simple as that.
Well since we don't need to take any suplement pills (wich also in their process caused direct/inderect death of animals) to get any nutrient that our food lack/fail to give us. That doesn't sound not eating good to me.

No idea. I'm not a vegetarian, but my daughters went through a phase. My mother-in-law said to me 'Never mind, they'll get over it.' As if they had chicken pox or measles. My youngest daughter (36) is now an omnivore, but she prefers vegetarian food, and I respect that. It's her choice.

it goes both ways. some people are just idiots. i'm vegetarian; however if people eat meat- that's their choice. i don't preach about what people should or should not eat. and their are some vegetarians/vegans/juicetarians who berate people for eating meat - just as some meat eaters bash vegetarians. i don't understand why people are so overly concerned one way or the other with individuals lifestyle choices.

here's one example from the v&v section right here. case and point.

can`t say I`ve noticed to be honest. Stick by your conviction!!!! Or are you just questioing (my spelling ) your own reasons for not eating meat?

they drive me nuts and they smell funny...

they say they can't afford to go veg (?)

it costs 3x's as much to by all that meat...gag...and then the medicine for the diseases that you develop...

I am a meat eater, and I don't think eating vegetables is a bad thing, I eat primarily produce, but I eat animal products too, that doesn't mean I think vegetarians are crazy.
I actually don't care what other people eat, I only get happiness from what i am eating, so why would I care?
I come to the V&V section and offer advice on where they can get nutrients that are primarily in animal products, like vitamin B12 for one.
Why would you make that assumption about all meat eaters? how often do you see non vegans in the other food sections complaining about what other people eat, not too often, so therefore it is mostly the militant vegans that are saying these things about meat omnivores when in actuality we really don't care what you guys eat. I respect why vegans are vegans, but respect goes two ways.

Because a human diet should contain meat regularly for a balinced diet, and it helps your organs. Same as vegtibals, sugars, etc..

Well, as soon as I find an interpretor to deciphor what in the h*ll you are asking, I will. In the menatime, I think you are asking why do people who eat meat diss on the veggie folk. Well, there are some meat loving people who will bash veggie folk because they think they are easy targets. However, a lot of veggie folk are quite militant with their beliefs, which leads to verbal conflict on the meat eating question. Therefore, you will find a lot of meat eating folks who will defend their turf so to speak. This question delves down to deppeer facets then what you are implying here.

What are you, foreign?

First of all, this is a very good question. I agree that meat eaters are bitter people who hate vegetarians because they aspire to be like us, but they don't have the discipline. Don't be discouraged by the hatemongers who roost in this section.
