If vegetarianism is unnatural..?!

Question: OK people, I'm just tired of meat eaters slandering me for being vegetarian.

If I am *so unhealthy* why am in good health after 10 years of *strict* (key word here- strict) vegetarianism?

Why am I not dead yet? It *is* possible to live without meat.

I even have Vegan friends on this forum who have no health problems. Can you explain why they still exist in perfect health?

I agree; I understand that some meat eaters make assumptions about many things. As I explained before, in another vegetarian related question, WHO CARES WHAT PEOPLE CHOOSE TO EAT; IF IT IS BAD, THEY WILL, UNFORTUNATELY, PAY THE PRICE. I would like to mention, vegetarianism and veganism is NOT always a religious thing, moral thing, ethics, or health thing; some people have allergies to animal substances or the muscles of an animal. Others do it, because it MAY save their lives. Some people, over time, have bad reactions to the dioxins that are in meat from cows, and other animals. Dioxins can be cancerous to some. If people need to do it for allergies or other personal reasons, it shouldn't matter...they have the right to be vegetarian/vegan. People need to stop bickering about how "unhealthy" it is. It is only unhealthy if they are not getting all their amino acids and a variety of proteins and nutrients. Just because a meat eater can get most of the nutrients in the meat (in one shot) does not mean that vegetarians/vegans can't obtain the same nutrients. We just need more of a variety. If one educates him/herself (from reliable sources) such as college classes, REPUTABLE dieticians/nutritionists, RELIABLE, scholarly journals, etc., he/she can stay healthy. The End...

The same reason there are plenty of meat eaters in perfect health. Genetics.
What are you trying to argue here? You can live without meat, you can live with meat.

my sister has recently had allot of health issues, guess what doc said? eat meat!!!! she feels much better.

and stop taking it so personally, nobody is slandering you, you are just not comfortable being a vegetarian apparently, you don't see meat eaters whining about vegetarians slandering them, we just want to understand better, cuz we don't really get it, and i don't even like most meat, it grosses me out, but i loooove some bacon

a. i don't care if people thumbs down me
b. she's a Nurse, a marathon runner, and she cooks evryday, i don't think that chick peas, and spinach salads are junk food. she's one of the healthiest people i know (on the surface) but she has allot of nutritional problems, until she started eating meat again

vegs are healther and live longer................but I still like a bacon cheezeburger with fried onions and greasy fries now and then..................It isn't always about being good.............

I am not sure what your argument is, but I must say that the choice of being vegan or a meat eater is personal. As long as you are meeting the daily requirements of the body's nutritional needs then I do not see why there is a problem.
There is nothing unatural about being or not being a vegetarian. There are also different types of vegetarians....
Total Vegetarians eat only plant food. They do not eat any animal foods, including fish, eggs, dairy products, and honey.
Vegans not only omit all animal products from their diets, but they also eliminate them from the rest of their life. Vegans use nothing from animals, such as leather, wool, and silk.
Lacto-Vegetarians will include dairy products into their diet of plant food.
Lacto-Ovo-Vegetarians eat both eggs and dairy products.
Pesco-Vegetarians include fish into their diets.
Pollo-Vegetarians eat poultry, such as chicken, turkey, and duck.
