Do you eat fake meats?!
Although I appreciate those who do, it's cruelty free. :o)
What about you? xxx
Answers: I don't eat them.

I do buy fake meats on occasion because they are the ultimate in convenience. I usually spend about 2 hours per night in the kitchen, so when I'm feeling totally burnt out and don't feel like washing a ton of dishes I reach for the almighty veggie burger. Stick in a microwave, serve with toasted bread and vegan mayo and mustard.
I can imagine a life without them because I don't use them too often. But damn are they easy!
P.S. Your hair is fudging awesome. Did you dye it in real life? Not that this isn't real life...but, you get my meaning.
Edit** Hey laylahtov below me, what kind of Amy's Burger did you use? Because I tried one kind and there was a lot to be desired.
Sometimes.
I don't, I don't think I have ever seen them in the market.
I eat soyrizo, because it is not greasy like regular chorizo.
and occasionally, veggie burgers
Only Linda McCartney's sausages and her veggie burgers.
WHAT IS FAKE MEATS?
I'm not a vegetarian, but yeah i do sometimes. I especially like veggie burgers. I don't see them as a replacement, just a alternative. I load them up like regular burgers, and it saves on fat, calories and cholesterol.
But i do like my meat and still want a real cheeseburger most the time. Sorry!
No, never. I eat only of the most natural foods, in their simplest form.
I do. I enjoy them quite a bit, although the longer I am veggie, the less I eat them. Veggie burgers and other fake meats are great when you go to a BBQ or other social event, because that way you don't feel hungry, tempted, or left out. My personal favorite is MorningStar. They are also easy and convenient to make, so that is a huge plus.
Some people just don't like them, and others find them too close to meat for them to feel comfortable eating. Some don't have access to them.
While I personally eat (and enjoy!) them, others don't. There are good reasons for both sides.
Hope this helps!
No they have too many chemicals and what is the point of poisoning yourself over an illusion? Personally I love Falafel (they are made from Garbanzo) and I make the best nut loaf.
No, I don't like that stuff. It is too artificial and tries too hard to taste like real meat.
Since I don't like the smell and taste of meat, I don't see a point in eating something that resembles it.
Yep.
No, I don't.
Yikes...did I say it wrong?...LOL
I like Morningstar farms veggie dogs and Ives (?) vege lunch meats. I started using those when my kids got teased in school for always eating peanut butter! They happen to like peanut butter.
i like them. i will use the chikn patties when i feel like having a little something extra with my pasta or rice or i will use the fake ground hamburger in just about anything that would use real hamburger. the corn dogs are pretty good too.
I eat tons of fake meats... Smart Bacon, Nate's Meatless Meatballs, Tofurkey Deli Slices, Morningstar Farms Meal Starters Chik'n Strips..... They make it really easy to enjoy the same kinds of foods that I ate as a meat-eater, and they're full of protein.
why not, ???
No. Not unless they're the ONLY thing availible - which is hardly ever the case. I do however, eat tofu and tempeh, which have no preservatives and flavorings; they're also healthier since they're made with fermented soy.
yeah its quite tasty
i would hope not but in today's world how would we really know.
I think some of them are unhealthy- when I look at the label, its filled with who knows what. Not alot of natural sources. I ended up geting a veggie burger one day at a grocerie store, and looked at the ingredients, it seemed okay- all natural, but when I cooked it.. bleh!
But I have had Amy's veggie burgers. Those are fabulous. And organic. I guess some of them are great! Other than that, I make my own versions. Like tempe bacon. I make a mean bacon. :)
NO I do not; reason 1) I never liked the taste of animal flesh so they do not appeal 2) I am allergic to what faux meats are made of Soy, Wheat, Egg Whites that covers all the current ones on the market.
There are so many better options for quality foods.
never, iiigitt!
vega
I tried it a couple of times but.... it just reminds me so much of meat and grosses me out. I just can't bring myself to eat it.
yes.....because i personally love the taste and texture of meat but hate the cruelty involved.....it gives me a nice substitute so i'm not tempted.
