Anything based on agar-agar - it's basically calorie free, and you can make it into lots of jello-ish snacks. I mix it with light coconut milk to make a custard, or with frozen fruits and a little diet juice mix to make a jelloish dessert.

Veg soup with a tomato based or clear broth. Any veg except starchy ones (corn, peas, potatoes, and such) will be low cal and filling, and as long as you chuck in plenty of aromatics like celery, onions, thyme and rosemary, it'll taste delicious. Blend it if you don't like it chunky.

Peppers, squash, zucchini or tomatoes stuffed with chopped mushrooms, a little vegan parmesan, and onions, or onions, tomato paste, and soy ground beef - scoop them out, stuff them, bake them for 15 or 20, and presto - less than 100 calories for a super-large one.

Veg stir fry with a fat-free sauce like teriyaki, vegan oyster sauce, soy sauce/ginger/green onion, or any homemade, lower-sugar, fat-free sauce. Just use oil spray in the pan you use.

Veggie burger (get the 'meaty' kind) or soy sandwich meat with plenty of veg on low-cal bread. This will cost you under 200 calories.

Baked potatoes. They're only around 100 calories each and taste yummy with vegan parm, nutritional yeast, or salsa to keep it super low cal.

Hi AmbyRose,
Do your veg through a juicer....... drink it till your hearts content

Raw foods in general are good because they retain their nutrition and haven't been weighed down with oils. East-Asian style low-calorie food if you like it. Pickled vegetables with a little bit of rice to help balance it out. Take a Japanese radish (daikon) and finely grind it, add some soy sauce and fresh squeezed lemon juice. I normally don't like radishes but it's a low-calorie snack. Also, various raw veggies dipped in light sauces like ponzu sauce (soy sauce with citrus). Lastly, don't think diet. Diets are temporary or as Garfield put it, "die with a t". Make a lifestyle change.
