I need a recipe for vegetarian brown sauce for stir fry?!

Question: Thank you!

Answers: Thank you!

I dint know how much you are making but say you want around a cup for so:

1 cup veggie stock
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Grated Fresh Ginger(to taste)
1 tablespoon corn starch
2 oz cold water

Dissolve the cornstarch and water by stirring.

Bring rest of the ingredients to a boil and add the cornstarch mixture. Serve when reached the desired thickness

After all my vegis are stir fried... I use a mixture of soy sauce and Hoisin.

Or you can use a jarred Hoisin Sauce for a Chinese touch available in Chinese grocery stores or many supermarkets now..
Frankly, I prefer to saute minced garlic and ginger in the wok first, then add 'shrooms until golden and then onions and carrots, and finally the rest of the veggies. Then the .Shoyu or Tamari and a splash of Mirin. If you want to thicken it, use a bit of Arroroot in water or stock for a clear sauce, or Cornstarch for an opaque one.
