What are some other vegetarian protein options besides soy and cottage cheese?!

There are things like tofu, beans, quinoa, soy milk, nuts, peanut butter, etc.
But you'd be surprised how much protein is in foods like potatoes and broccoli. Check these out for more info and good luck!

Whole grains are packed with protein; beans, legumes, nuts, seeds; vegetables like broccoli are more than half protein (16 of it's 25 calories per serving are from protein). Tons of sources of protein, not to mention there is dairy and eggs for vegetarians that do eat them - but it is perfectly easy to eat more than enough protein without touching any animal products whatsoever.
Almost every food has protein in and it's extremely rare for even a veg*n to be deficient of it. Foods that are particularly high in protein include meat substitutes such as seitan and soy, nuts, seeds, beans, tofu and wholemeal bread/pasta/rice/cereals

Beans and other legumes, like lentils, peanuts, peas and chickpeas are excellent sources of protein. Whole grains are as well. Try quinoa; not only is it a complete protein, it's chock full of calcium and iron as well. Nuts and seeds are a great source. Vegetables, especially dark green ones, and mushrooms are reliable sources. Fruits not so much, although they have a little. Protein is the "building block of life," right? Meaning it's everywhere. Just eat a wide variety of plant foods and protein is a non-issue.

Sheena is right. People don't realize that protien is everywhere. Do you know where cows get their protien? From the grass they eat. Meat protein is actually created by vegetation. It's by far the best source. You also need much less per day than is advocated by the meat and dairy industries. These companies brainwash us into thinking we need much more than we actually do. Be cowless!
