What is the fastest way for a vegetarian to lose weight?!
Answers: I have to go to a nice dinner @ my boyfriends college in two weeks, i'd really like to look amazing and make a good impression on all the important people at this dinner! I bought a great dress & i'd like to lose about 5 lbs... i'm a distance runner so i get a great work out at least 4-5 times a week and i'm also a vegetarian... what can i add to my routein to get quick results????
you don't need to cut down on the carbs. They are your friends. just eat more complex carbohydrates- like sweet potatoes, brown rice. And just eat an actual serving you don't need anymore. Mix it with yummy greens like broccoli and baby spinach. When I needed to drop weight in high school for wrestling- I would just run for 30 and swim for an hour. You are a long distance runner, so these next two weeks switch it up. Sprint, then jog, then sprint, then jog. Your body gets used to a constant pace- especially if you do it often. So Run really fast for a minute, jog for two, run fast for one, and so on. Lifting weights before you do cardio is also excellent! For best results of fat loss, do it twice a day. 20 min in the morning 20 in the evening or afternoon. It keeps your metabolism running strong!
cut down the carbs - like rice, etc.
Try to limit your carbs-eat wholemeal pasta/rice/bread instead.
Instead of using oil to cook, use cooking spray.
Pick low fat versions of foods.
Eat until your satisfied & no more.
Exercise!
eat cottage cheese made from lo-fat milk (make sure about the lo fat bit) go easy on carbs. start te meal with a big filling soup or salad. . snack -fruit (ideally berries) or soy nuts. just 2 tablespoons of soya nuts subside hunger pangs
First, make sure you are eating a healthy, well-balanced diet. Second, increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. These will fill you up, but not be as high-calorie as grains, beans, nuts, etc. Basically, just lower your caloric intake, but don't lower it too much, make sure you are still getting enough calories to meet your needs. There is no "easy" way to lose weight. It's hard work and requires exercise and a healthy diet and it takes some time. 5 lbs in two weeks doesn't sound like an unreasonable goal, though if you are already doing a lot of exercise, as it sounds like you are, it may be more difficult because adding even more exercise can be unhealthy.
Go 100% raw vegan for the next two weeks:

Drink 2 litres of pure filtered water every day.
Raw vegan means totally ceasing any sort of refined sugars, processed flours, sweets, cola, beer etc.....and just consuming raw fruit, raw vegetables, raw sprouted seeds. Eat certified organic where possible.
You could also do a couple of days 100% juice fasting. Must be home-made fresh vegetable juice.
To be honest, you have left it a bit late really.........
