I love being vegetarian, do you?!

Question: The freedom to choose is amazing. I feel great in being veg in so many different ways.
Yes, living in a world of meat eaters can be irritating sometimes - everywhere you go you will always deal with ignorant comments and people questioning you - but it will never outweigh the outcome of being vegetarian.

Its like an amazing form of conciousnous and aliveness I never experienced as a meat eater. Something I can't really explain, do you know what I'm talking about?

Hi, I love being a veg*n, I love the new foods that i have discovered, things I never even thought of eating when i was a meat eater(or flesh eater).

To me its a whole new way of life in some respect, I love going food shopping and filling my basket up with all the lovely colourful fruit and veg!

I have also have met some amazing people through being veggie,(and campaigning) that i wouldn't of had If I had stayed a meat eater! :)

I feel better in myself, health wise and conscience wise, and peace of mind that I am not contributing to animal suffering!

My diet is now much more varied!

Most veggies/vegans have experienced a meat eating diet and a veggie one, where as the life long meat eaters don't know what they are missing out on! :)

Tboner you seem to be abit obsessed with veggies, you spend a lot of your time in here, if you're so proud of being a flesh eater why do you get sooooooo bothered by it!

It is also against yahoo guidelines to insult other members, maybe you need to read ALL THE GUIDELINES!

The asker is just stating facts, a bit different to ranting which you seem to do a lot!

The question was to vegetarians and vegans, you obviously want to be one!

I love being vegan, I love animals & I love the environment. I just have to tune out some of the critical comments I get sometimes. Love it!!!

Peace )O(

all those sad obese people who just keep stuffing burgers in.get a lifffeeeeee

Well, I do not feel that being vegetarian gives me the right to place myself up on a pedestal. I do not get offended when I see other meat eaters in the world either. I just choose to be vegetarian because I absolutely cannot stand the taste of meat and have found that I can do well without it.

I love being vegetarian, but you are being contradicting about the ignorant comments meat eaters make. You, yourself, are being ignorant when you comment that we can't handle meat. That is what we have a small intestine and a gallbladder for. The gallbladder produces bile, which aides in the digestion of meat. FYI to you as well, the fibrous parts of plants rot in our intestines because we can't handle those. And our ancestors used to eat the meat raw because they had immune systems that could handle it. But ever since the discovery of fire, our immune systems have de-evolved from that time. Frankly, if our ancestors hadn't eaten meat, we wouldnt' be here, not would we have the brains developed to make the wise choice of being a vegetarian. Compare animals who eat plants to animals who eat meat. Animals who eat meat are a lot more intelligent than those who eat plants...what more proof is there? I applaud you for being proud, but I don't applaud you for your lack of biological knowledge.

Why!?!

I dont care what people eat i dont know why so many people find it really offensive when people eat meat?!

Who are you trying to convince? Me, or YOURSELF!
Human beings are OMNIVORES! Not herbivores! You don't like eating meat, that's fine! Just don't GO ON and ON about it, for Pete's sake.

Im part vegetarian, not by choice.
I eat chicken and fish - only sometimes.
red meat just makes me feel sick. i dont like the taste, and most of the time ive eaten it, ive ended up feeling unwell, even vomiting.
It just doesnt agree with me.
I understand where you are coming from.
I have a lot of issues at home, when my mum cooks dinner, 4/7 times, its red meat. Cause, everyone eats it. - But me.
The questioning of why im vego, ect.
does get annoying,
but its worth it, when on school camps, ive been treated to beautiful home made vegetable pasties, whereas the planned meal was 3 day old spag bol!
:)

Ummm i don't think i would ever go vegetarian as i absolutely love chicken. I once told my mum that i was going vegetarian but i was going to eat meat lol. I don't like red meat much so if chicken wasn't classified as a meat product i would definitely go vegetarian.
