Has anyone had any good meatless hot dogs?!
Answers: i tried Smart Dogs but they are pretty gross. I just like them because they are a quick and easy protein source since my meals are all just veggies mainly. Gracias in advance, y que tengan buenos dias!
I like Yves and President's Choice veggie dogs. I don't know if you get them in the U.S.
Frying them in a little oil and adding some sauteed onions and other condiments also goes a long way towards making them tasty. Sometimes I use the oil that sundried tomatoes come packed in - it adds a nice flavour.
Boiled or microwaved, they are kind of gross.
PS: if you like spice, sautee some jalapenos with them.
hmmm, you could turkey dogs.
AT WHOLE FOODS
THEY HAVE TOFURKY HOT DOGS
THEY ARE VERY TASTY
Have you tried increasing your beans and grains. for more protein lentiles give you 18 grams per a 100 grams of serving.
Tivali, if you can get them where you are.
Hurleyboy, how can you know how many animals I don't eat? Is the number of animals I didn't eat today the same as the number of animals I didn't eat yesterday? Hmmm - as I'm not going to eat any of the animals in the world, you must be going to eat three times the number of animals in the world - and if you're applying this to all vegetarians....you and that silly website haven't really thought this through, have you?
Au Naturel's aren't bad, but they do contain eggs - so if you don't eat those, avoid them!
Sol Dogs are good, too, but I think they're mostly in Canada.
I like Yves Veggie Cuisine's hot dogs, too.
Never.... they are all rubbish
i had a good vegetable-less cabbage once... that was quite nice..
My daughter has tried several of the meatless hot dogs and she likes the Morning Star Farms hot dogs the best.
I like Schneider's Au Naturel fake meats. They arent vegan friendly though, unfortunately.
boca's 'hot dogs' are pretty good
If you choose not to eat meat, then you don't get to have hot dogs.Don't try to replace meat products with fake stuff, just eat real fruits/veg/grains.
If you do eat meat, but are looking for something more nutritious than hot dogs, the same rule applies.
I would just indulge in the real thing every once in a while.
BTW, the best hot dogs are Hebrew national.
Try a real hot dog, it's a whole lot better. And i agree with hurleyboy, Maddox is the man. He knows what the hell he is talking about. And don't try to back talk him, he'll show you whats up. And it's not eating three times as many animals you twit, it's eating three animals for every animal you don't eat. There is no multiplication in that problem yo.
i love asdas own brand hot dogs they are best i have tried and my hubby say they better than real ones
as this is a veggie and vegan place why are so many meat eaters giving there ignorant answers we choose not to eat animals get over it !!
morningstar farms are really good! i hate all the other hot dog brands... but these make the best imitation to me. even meat eaters i know will eat these.
