Hate to say it, but I think I am a vegetarian!?!

Question: I never thought I would say this...but I really can't stand the taste of meat anymore. I used to love steaks. But now the thought of eating red meat grosses me out. Chicken breasts seem okay...just in small quantities. But why is this happening to me??

Perhaps your palette is changing with age.

Because your body's physiology is reasserting itself by throwing off the shackles of society and its stereotypes. And it really is all cultural. As much as you never expected to stop eating meat, there are people who would be aghast at the idea of eating it.
I don't know why you would "hate" eating less meat...can you educate me on what you find so surprising about it?

i think u r getting bored over ur taste of food

To be a vegetarian is not bad for you .

I don't like to eat meat.

I hate to say it, but you aren't a vegetarian. Vegetarians don't eat chicken or any animal flesh for that matter.

It's happening to you because you either dislike the taste or dislike the concept/process of animal flesh reaching your table.

Give up the animal flesh and all animal byproducts that are derived through the death of the animal and you'll be a vegetarian. Not a moment sooner.

I think as you grow older your "body language", points you in different directions in all aspects of your life. Metaphorically speaking , you loose you head for heights , including hard to digest steaks.

Same!! But I saw some truly horrific videos of the slaughter house and that's my reason. I feel so sick at the thought of meat now. Just roll with it - it's for the best because not only will you be helping animals but you can actually reverse heart disease and your cholestorole will drop.

Dont hate it. Be happy! :) Being Veg, is the best thing you can do to your body. A cleaner you, be happy.

Same thing happened to me. I guess it's because of all the animal cruelty that's going on.

What will your mother think, when she finds out you came out of the closet, and admitted your a Vegetarian, o the shame!! But seriously, people's taste change as the get older. I used to love extremely hot,and spicy food, and know if I eat anything to spicy, or hot, it tears my stomach up.

With what they feed cattle today and the fact that meat has very little flavor due to that kind of feed, it is no wonder. I don't eat it either, with the growth hormone in it that drove my weight way up and drove my cholesterol through the roof.

Beef is no longer a good food source.

I now find that I'm eating more and more like a Thai person. Chilies help my prostate so now I eat nuclear hot dishes. I eat fish most the time, and sometimes a very little pork as flavor and a LOT of fresh vegetables cooked with it.

I feel much better than I used to and have managed to help keep my weight down after I lost 50 lbs. last year.

I don't eat chicken and I don't eat beef. Neither are worth the money in my opinion. Flavorless and sick, the both of them.

This not tragedy. Its a new and different way of eating better foods.

Start cooking more vegetarina foods and try out what you like and what you don't.

This is not a prison sentence.

The only reason why people eat meat is because they were brainwashed into eating it by their parents and the meat industry.

But really, humans are biologically designed to eat only one type of food: FRUIT.

Let me explain this for you.

First, a gorilla, whose teeth and digestive tract is virtually identical to humans, eats mostly fruit, like bananas, etc. and other vegetation.

Look at the muscle mass and strength it has!

That proves also that the meat industry PROPAGANDA claiming that you need to eat dead animal parts is FALSE.

Actually, the human digestive tract CANNOT digest meat at all.

It just lies there, ROTTING AND PUTREFYING, like roadkill on a highway in July when the temperature is 98 degrees, Stinking to high heaven! [that is also why meat eater need to use deodorants].

And it sits there in your intestines, for up to MANY MONTHS, creating TOXIC POISONS that your body must eliminate to keep from dying!

The only thing that the human body can digest completely is FRUIT. Not even vegetables.

Meaning that fruit is the only thing that doesn't have toxic waste that the human body must eliminate as feces.

But you should eat organically grown fruit, if you don't want pesticides.

When you eat meat, it puts your IMMUNE SYSTEM under great strain. Because, in addition to it battling viruses, germs and bad bacteria, it must also devote time to getting rid of the poisons in the dead animal parts you ingested.

Did you ever feel "stuffed" after eating a big turkey dinner on Thanksgiving?

Well, that's because you put your body in a STUPOR, from the poisons in the dead bird flesh!

Remember too that nowadays it is a lot worse than years before, because now they put a lot of chemicals, including STEROIDS, in the feed of the animals, to get them "up to market size" a lot more quickly.

And those STEROIDS are still in that animal after they are slaughtered, then YOU ingest the steroids when you eat the dead animal.

Remember that old TV commercial, by a former Oakland Raiders player named Lyle Alzado, who warned people against taking steroids? He told them, "By the time you see this commercial, I will already be dead from steroids causing brain cancer," or something like that.

If you're smart, you will eat NO dead animal parts whatsoever. Not even sea animals or animals with wings.

For protein, I mix a couple scoops of chocalate all-natural hi-protein powder in a blender with fruit juice and fruit.

Occasionally I eat vegetables like broccoli, etc.

And some grains [brown rice, oatmeal, etc.].

Eggs are okay occasionally. They are the best natural source of protein, and contain lecithin to emulsify the cholesterol so it won't hurt you like the cholesterol in meat.
