I want nutritious snacks to eat on the go?!


Question: I'm at University tomorrow, what can I carry in my bag to eat when I'm on the move?

I usually carry an apple or banana with me. Any ideas?

Hi Scottie :)
Make sure you pack yourself a decent lunchbox, and have a good breakfast before you go!
Dried apricots, walnuts, almonds, juicy raisins, fresh fruit and try some healthy snack bars, Holland and Barret do some lovely ones!
Also make up a bag with batons of carrots, celery, cucumber and sweet red pointed peppers, and mixed seeds are good too!
Obviously you don't have to take everything I've suggested, but just a few ideas for you! :)x loveage x

    I have a few ideas

    dried fruit
    rice cakes
    yogurt raisins
    granola bars
    grapes
    I hope this helps

    Why not make a fruit salad tonight (plums, kiwi, apple oranges etc all diced) put into airtight tub & leave in fridge overnight.
    Don't forget to bring spoon with you
    A nice salad sandwich with grated chees on brown bread can also be made tonight and stored in fridge.
    Saves time in the morning.
    Good luck in university!

    small tubs of fresh fruit salad
    nuts & yogurt
    cheese & dry bisc
    bananas definitely
    don't forget a water bottle

    ready to eat cereal bars(whole grain)
    bran muffin or other muffin
    fresh fruits - grapes, clementine orange, plums
    cheese and crackers
    yogurt with handful of nuts
    oatmeal cookie
    water :)
    always eat a hearty/healthy breakfast to keep you going through the morning...till lunch time*
    Try eggs/whole wheat toast/o'juice
    porridge with raisins
    bran muffin..etc

    Fruit leather is very easy to take with you and it tastes very good too! There is no sugar added, it's just fruit, so it is healthy!

    For a healthy snack, make your own Trail Mix using a combination of any or all of the following:

    Dried cranberries
    Dried cherries
    Raisins
    Dates
    Fancy Mixed Nuts - salted or unsalted, your choice
    Dried Mango
    Dried Papaya
    Coconut flakes
    M&Ms
    Banana chips
    Apple chips
    Dried Peaches
    Dried Blueberries
    Dried Pinapple
    Granola

    Keep in a sealed container or ZipLock bags to keep fresh.
