You'll have to get your blood checked to see if you're anemic, but honestly, it sounds like you aren't eating enough. Weight loss is one good indicator that you aren't consuming enough calories, headaches result from low blood sugar, fatigue and difficulty focusing can be from hunger, being shaky is a sign of low blood sugar, and it's hard to sleep if your body is hungry!

Symptoms of anemia tend to include being tired, but also being cold all the time, and pale. Gently close your hand as though you were holding a small item in your palm (don't squeeze a fist) -- your nails should be nice and pink. If they look white, that could be a sign of anemia.

I'd be curious how much you're eating in a day. Vegan foods tend not to be as calorie dense as omni foods are, and it may seem like you're eating a lot, but you might not be getting all the calories you need.

go to yor doctor , he will give you a check up

Sounds more like anxiety attacks...your probably worrying needlessly about your diet. These symptoms alone are in no way diet related.

im not a doctor, or anywhere near it, so I can't diagnose you.
but you don't sound okay. my mother suffered from anemia; and not to scare you or anything but this sounds like what she went through.
tell your parents, if they don't already know whats wrong. go see your doctor.
don't worry; you're probably just overreacting.

I hate to see fellow veggies suffering =(

These are the classic tell-tale signs of iron deficiency anaemia. The sortness of breath means the body is trying to get more oxygen because red blood cells are low.

Please ignore the rude answerers.

The best way to cure it is by buying IRON tablets from a health shop. Please please take iron pills.

Anaemia can kill eventually so please buy those iron pills, they may save your life :-)

Best wishes, I hope you feel better very soon!!

Chances are, you aren't consuming enough fat. Eat some nuts and avocado, pour some olive oil on your salad, and your symptoms will improve. (It generally takes more than a month to deplete your iron stores.)

Vegan or not, a balanced diet is key. You can easily obtain enough iron from nuts and leafy greens.

Only a blood test can determine if you are suffering from iron deficient anemia. I had this problem and I took iron and
b-12 pills but it took several weeks to get my levels back to normal. Heres the thing, normal healthy people shouldn't be taking iron on a daily basis unless a doctor is advising you to do so. Once you definitively know that the lack of iron is causing you this problem then you can change your diet and read your labels to ensure you are eating enough iron and b-12 so you don't need the pills anymore. Supplements are a short term solution at best but I don't recommend taking it for more than a month or two. Your levels should be back to normal by then. If you are still feeling symptomatic then its something else.

Well no one here can say for sure what is wrong. Though like you said you havent been eating the best. It seems you are aware of this though so good for you! I would go to your doctor to make sure all is all right. Only they know your medical history and can diagnos this. It could be related to becomming a vegan and not having the appropriate vegan diet or it could be totally unrelated. Either way the doctor will know best. They will probably do a lipid test and iron and all that. I get this done jsut as a precaution to make sure all is ok and pretty much everyone on a veggie diet should once or twice a year at least. Also, if your doctor has a problem with your veganism, explain to them that you are not going to change but just want to be healthy doing it... its important to discuss all this with your doctor. Good luck!

eat some broccoli, swiss chard, and lots of dark green leafy veggies. They contain iron and vitamin C which helps iron absorbtion. You will feel better! :)
If you don't try getting a Vegan mulitvitamin. They help alot!

It's unhealthy! Stop Vegan TERRORISM NOW!
Go eat BEEEEEEF. IT will help you with your symptoms... Trust me.. Also go see your doctor.
