Are there any risks to using tofu?!
Answers: for instance, i only cook for myself. so --- if i make a dish, and only use half a block of tofu --- can i put it in my fridge and it will still be safe to eat a couple days later in another dish?
The tofu should be fine for up to a week once opened, if stored properly. It needs to be kept in a Tupperware/Gladware like container, covered in fresh water - you need to change the water every day.
You can also freeze the tofu instead, if it's medium or firm consistency, which is ideal when you want to cook it later. To remove the excess water before freezing it, put it in between two cloths in between two plates for fifteen minutes and add a bit of pressure to the top plate (I put a can of beans ontop). Then just stick the tofu in a ziploc bag and put it in the freezer. When you want to use it, just defrost it in the fridge. It should last longer than a week then.
sure. that is fine...
Yes you can, check the package for details, but you should be able to use the remaining amount.
i don't think there is, cause that would be weird since tofu is all jiggly and healthy and stuff.
To properly store your tofu.. I would put it in an air tight plastic container. Fill the container with water and place the tofu inside. If you change the water out daily the tofu will keep nice and fresh for three to four days.
You can even freeze your tofu- that gives it an exciting new texture!
once you don't contaminate it ,yes
Sure that is very fine
The risk of tofu involves everyone around you. The flatulence caused by ingesting tofu is horrible. Please be respectful of others if you intend to eat this garbage.
like someone said
store in container with water and change everyother day
only good for a few days though
if its pink or smells odd DONT EAT IT! however I have heard of people boiling it after that to eat it, but its so cheap i would toss it
The only risk to using tofu is being grossed out. Real meat is what is good.
