Can you eat eggs if you're a vegeterian?!

Question: How bout gravy?

Answers: How bout gravy?

Vegetarians can eat eggs, but if you go to goveg.com and see how badly chickens are treated to create an egg filled with harmful substances, you probably won't want to eat them any more. Gravy usually contains animal products, so you either have to find a veggie recipe or buy one at a health food store or something.

Yes vegetarians can eat eggs... anyone can eat eggs but some, for example vegans, choose not to. And anyone can eat gravy too but some people choose not to if, for example, it contains meat which some do.

Yes, you can eat eggs but be careful with gravy! Although there is some that you can eat, most is made with meat.

Good luck!

I am pretty sure you can. I am a vegetarian and I have eaten eggs before.

yea but if ur a vegan nope vegans dont eat anything proced by animals but vegitarians can eat eggs!

it depends it will turn into a chicken if left alone

Sure, I eat eggs every once in a while. Eggs are not aniamls or the start of what would become one.

Yes, you can eat eggs. Vegetarians eat animal products such as eggs and dairy products, but they don't eat anything that involves killing an animal. Please buy FREE RANGE EGGS, not 'farm fresh' cage eggs. The hens that a lot of eggs come from are tortured in tiny cages and forced to lay ridiculous mounts of eggs - definitety cruelty! Also, a lot of cheese contains rennet(enzyme) which is taken from calf stomaches, so cheese is usually not vegetarian because dead animal parts go into it. You can find vegetarian cheese that use vegetable enzyme though! Also, gelatin (in jello and a lot of candies and marshmallows) is made from pig's skin and other animal collagen & is not vegetarian.

Last I knew, eggs are unborn chickens and chickens are fowl -- not vegetables. So in my lexicon, "No Vegetarians do not eat eggs." If you want to know how to substitute for them, replace them, never miss them go to http://www.your-vegetarian-kitchen.com/h...
Awesome eggless dessert recipes, eggless cakes, eggless cheese cakes and eggless pies, eggless tarts and eggless muffins, eggless quiche and an Eggless Gateau de Crepes .Eggs? Who needs them -- chickens maybe?
And as for Gravy check out the Sauces on the site! If you are talking about gravy in a restaurant or at a school cafeteria-- well, no -- not unless you are in a vegetarian or vegan restaurant.

yes you can eat eggs as a vegetarian. its if your a vegan, that you cannot

Yes

you can eat anything if your vegetarian; but i wouldn't reccomnd eating meat...

Yes Vegetarians Can eat eggs its actually called a Ovo Vegetarian.

here is a list of vegetarian typesbelow.

Lacto-Ovo ( i am this) eats eggs and dairy products but eats NO meat

Lacto- eats dairy but does not eat any meat or eggs

Ovo- wich is actually very rare eats eggs but does not eat meat or dairy

Vegan- eats no meat, no eggs, no honey, and no dairy. ( vegans are very strict) they eat NO animal products

The most common vegetarian is the Lacto-Ovo vegetarian or the Lacto- Vegetarian.

and to answer your gravy question yes you can eeat gravy if you are a lacto vegetarian it just depends how the gravy is cooked such as if it has eggs and milk then yes you can eat it if it has meat in it then NO you cant if you do yolu are not a true vegetarian.

Hope i helped! Stick to the vegetarian diet you will love it and you are saving animals!

Vegetarians can eat eggs, vegans do not. As for gravy, be careful, much of it contains dehydrated chicken fat and things of that sort. I use a packaged powdered gravy from Hain that is veggie friendly.

no gravy....
eggs u can if u r a lacto-ovo-vegetarian, most ppl are that way just because this way u can eat pastries

lacto-vegetarians dont eat eggs

Yes, vegetarians can eat eggs. Most people in the U.S. who identify themselves as vegetarian are lacto-ovo-vegetarians, meaning they still eat dairy products and eggs. Eggs are considered vegetarian because they are not fertilized, and therefore would never grow into a chicken if not eaten.

You can also choose to be a lacto-vegetarian, meaning you eat dairy products but not eggs, or an ovo-vegetarian, meaning you eat eggs but not dairy products.

Some vegetarians don't eat either eggs or dairy products, which may or may not make them vegan (veganism extends beyond a dietary choice and vegans do not eat, use, wear or otherwise consume animal products or ingredients.)

Here is some more info on the definition of vegetarian, from the people who coined the word in the 1840s: http://www.vegsoc.org/info/definitions.h...

As for gravy, it depends on what it's made with. Gravies made with the fat and juices of an animal, like turkey gravy, are not vegetarian. But you can make gravy with vegetable broth, or even buy packets of vegetarian gravy mix for a shortcut.

I am a Vegetarian and yes I eat free range eggs in all products, Like I will eat rice noodles instead of egg noodles. I have to know where the eggs are coming from. Battery chickens are treated horribly.

Gravy:Be very very careful Most gravies have some sort of Animal stock in them. I go to the food shops and they have the veggie based gravy which is so beautiful on roast veggies:)

Many vegetarians eat eggs, vegans do not.
Most gravy is made with meat broth, stock, or drippings.
