It's not poisonous. Cut about an inch and a half off of the bottom and throw it in the garbage. Saute the asparagus in olive oil and garlic and then when it's tender-crisp, sprinkle some parmesan cheese on it.

Asparagus is "in season" right now so it's cheap and fresh.

all of it,but snip off the bottom 2ish inches.

lol you can eat the whole thing. personally, i like the top part the best. but it's all safe to eat!

all but the end when it is served to you cooked you can eat it all and if you are preparing it you break of the end it snaps in a natural break point in there.

eat all of it except the bottom

All of it if is is young but trim off ,depending on how old they are,the tough bottom part . They are not poisonous ,just chewy and possibly indigestible.

The green above ground parts are edible. The plant is not poisonus. Try to remove the fibrous parts near the cut as they aren't very fun to eat.

Nothing on the asparagus is poisonous, so don't worry. You can eat the whole thing.

The top part is the best part!!! It's delicious!

I eat the whole thing, but I prefer the stem part. I kind of think the top tastes a tad bitter, although the stem is more fibrous. Before I steam it, I cut about 1/2 inch off of the very bottom of the stem, throw the very ends out, and place the rest of the stems upright in a bowl of ice water. It makes them more crisp.

All of it......but the spears are the best part
