items that are high in protein will provide a lot of energy. try adding more nuts, seeds, and legumes to your diet and you will see your energy pick up. carbohydrates will give you a quick energy rush but will drop off later.

Strong black coffee. Coffee is vegetarian, right?

why cant you eat FREE RANGE EGGS?

I keep my own chickens just for this purpose..
way healthier.. and I have happy chickens and can sell some eggs too -thus helping because every egg they buy from me, means less from battery hens...

I find that black beans are a great source of energy and can be cooked in several different things.

Trail mix, with raisins, dried apricots, nuts, unsweetened coconut, seeds and other dried fruit. I make my own and much on it through out the day. ?

Have seeds, nuts, sweet or dried fruit or a smoothie with rice or almond milk and fruit. You could also eat a cracker with bean spread or yeast spread or some cereal with almond milk.

The body's main source of energy is carbohydrate. So obviously you would want food containing a lot of carbs.

And if your doing the entire housework it sounds like you would need a good steady source of energy rather than a short lived rush (which you get from sugar!)

So I would recommend foods containing lots of rice, pasta, potato, oats etc Also, if you eat small portions but more often during the day you would spread that energy out better.

Unfortunately I have no recipes though as I'm a terrible cook! lol
