Can I drink beer if I'm a vegetarian?!
Answers: Hops are an animal, correct? I've never seen a plant hop, but the Venus Fly trap moves, not doesn't hop.
Funny, hops are a plant.
The are in the same family as cannabis...
no hops are actually a flower that looks like weed....not that i have ever seen weed or anything. BUT beers are all natural vegetarian friendly and yummy to boot. its just fresh h2o, hops, barley (a grain like rice or wheat), and yeast which is a Bactria used to turn sugars from the barley into alcohol.
It's not the hops (plant), it's the yeast (microorganism, but like a one-celled animal). The alcohol in beer is actually yeast-urine!
Why don't you just stop worrying about what you can and cannot consume? "Vegetarianism" is not a religious cult that you have to adhere to the rules with, or at least it shouldn't be .....but some misguided fools try and turn it into one because they lack any other belief system.
I'm going to ponder that over an ice-cold Shiner Bock and a nice, fresh, thick, bloody Filet Mignon!
Cheers!
if you are hardcore adamant that you do not want to consume ANY animal products...read the label
im not sure about beer but wine "may contain traces of poultry" this is because the wine is filtered through animal products
These questions can be answered by the kind ppl at

THERE ARE ANIMAL PRODUCTS IN VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING, GO ORGANIC
EDIT:
did i get a thumbs down because i eat meat?
In case you actually want to know and are not just making a lame joke, not all beers are suitable for vegetarians.
Here's a list

Yes nearly all are fine. The danger is drinking too much and going for a chicken kebeb pissed. LOL
