Does Anyone Like Their Oatmeal Made Like This?!

Question: When I make my oatmeal I get a bowl, put 1/2 cup oatmeal in it, and instead of adding a cup of water to it I add a cup of Silk Chai soy milk, then I microwave it. It is really good! Does anyone else like it or has anyone else tried it? It is very tasty!

Yes I have! It's so good. I agree.

No I make mine with water but so that it is dry then when I am done microwaving it I add regular milk to make it moist then I put maple syrup, brown sugar, and butter in it. It sounds gross but I have always made it like this and it is sooooo good.

I like to make Old Fashion Slow Oats with more milk than watter. Then when it is done put a little brown sugar and milk on it. The old fashion oats take longer to make but they are so much better than the instant oats. Really chewy and flavorful. My grandfather ate them every day from the time he was 3 until he died at 94. If he didn't smoke he would have lived to be 100 or more. I believe in the Oats for breakfast thing.

I love old fashioned oatmeal. It's great with whole milk, walnuts, and raisins.

I make the stovetop kind with almond milk, then swirl in some blackstrap molasses. Mmmm!

Never tried it.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!THAT DESCRIPTION MAKES MY MOUTH DROOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sounds amazing! I'll have to try it sometime.

sounds yummy! i use milk instead of water

Hey, this sounds yummy.
But I like mine with a bowl of milk with little sugar and lots of almond or raisins in it.

Yum! I make mine with 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/2 cup of Soy milk, 1/2 cup water, a banana and about a teaspoon of brown sugar (half added while cooking and the rest sprinkled over the oatmeal once it's cooked) on the stove top. Delicious!

I'll put a cup of soymilk, cinnamon, mash a banana into it, then drop in a spoonful of peanut butter; then I microwave it... it is my single greatest achievement.

oh my gosh, that sounds good....i bet it would be great with the cinnamon oatmeal too. yummy!!

I have cooked my oatmeal with rice milk instead of water and it is really good - I agree.
I have been enjoying steel cut oats lately and I make a huge batch so I can eat off of the leftovers during the week. Those are SO good! I add raisins, a dab of brown sugar, flax seeds and my rice milk. Yummy for my tummy!
