Are vegatarians always happy and healthy, do they ever feel run down?!

Question: Are they ever moody?

Answers: Are they ever moody?

Vegetarians are human beings and so subject to all the same emotions as any other human being. Nobody can possibly be always happy, and avoiding meat doesn't stop moodiness.

Are they always healthy? No. Vegetarians and vegans get ill just like meat-eaters, probably no more and no less.

yes

Erm... we're still human, so yes, we can experience all of these feelings.

Generally I feel pretty good. been a veggie for over 10 years.

Not if they are taking good source of protein from other foods

Hell yeah! I quit non veg about 5 years back and I feel like vegetarian food is not as filling and wholesome in a way. And yeah I still crave for meat sometimes and get moody but I have a strong will and I'm very happy with the decision to quit!

Do you really believe that it's only meat that makes you ill?

im never sad once i started taking Vitamin B12 and multivitamin supplements. Infact im the Chosen ONE now

Yes mean and moody and yes we do get run down but it's more to do with the fact that we hate the thought of animals being slaughtered for consumption.

What an odd question. 8-)

Vegetarians are people. They can feel everything any person does, and be in any mood anyone can.

I think maybe you mean are they *more* run down or moody than they would have been were they not vegetarian... and the answer to that is "usually no more than if they weren't vege".

Depending on their diet and how strictly vege or vegan they are, they might be short on iron or vitamin B12, either of which could make them feel more run down. That's pretty uncommon though, and easy to fix.

My Mum is a Vegetarian and she is very healthy, and she is one of the most Energetic people I know. I'd miss my Bacon rolls too much.

It's possible to be a happy and healthy vegetarian but I think it's definately easier to be healthy if you eat meat. My sister is a veggie and although she's not exactly bouncing with healthiness she's not ill very often and rarely grumpy. My other sister eats a small amount of food in general, mainly potatoes and pasta, and she is ALWAYS sick.

no, yes, and yes!

I don't know, but some are healthy and skinny. usually good mood.

no,they are not ever moody sometimes they may exhibit emotions like any other human being &they are very much happy&fit .morover they have soft tendency towards another person so i strongly reccomand veg food

don't no, never nerd of a Vegetarian this days.

Where did you get that idea? I know plenty of miserable ones.

No and yes.

I've been veggie for 25 years, and the only illnesses I get are those like anybody else - colds etc....very few tummy upsets though, which I think says something about the diet! :-)
I certainly don't feel that the diet makes me feel down as such, only when I go to a restaurant and there are little or no choices available for vegetarians!
On the whole being vegetarian is great - the food can be exciting and imaginative. I'm on the verge of being vegan now though - which may be a bit harder in terms of eating out - make that a LOT harder!

I tried being a vegetarian once and felt so weak. I looked weak, I felt sad...so I went back to meat

Never met a human that didn't feel run down one time or another. Vegan or not.

Dont listen too them look vegatarians think that they will stay healty i know a lady she is vegatarian and also she dont drink or smoke and look at she now she end up with cancer

No, I'm not always happy. I'm dysthymic, and it has nothing to do with my diet. I've always been a little depressive. As for healthy, I'd say I'm in fairly good health. I think most of my "lows" energy-wise come from stress, which is quite present in my life.

I do feel better now that I'm veg but sometimes I still feel like s***. But I do have more energy and get less sick (cold, flues, allergies, etc.)...

i was veggie for 8 years and i dont think i was any different to what i am now. i spose the only difference is im a couple of stone ehavier now but that could be due to all sorts of things

We vary, just like everyone.

eg: Last week we finished our end of year accounts early with great results - i was happy.

Yesterday I couldn't start my ride-on mower so kicked it and hurt my foot - i was not happy.

Hello,

(ANS) I'm a vegetarian and have been for well over 30 years now. I felt MUCH happier and much healthier after I stopped eating meat many years ago.

I trained in my twenties to professional level as a dancer at the Laban Center in London, No! I've never felt especially run down and am pretty healthy. No! I don't take vitamin pills or any special supplements either.

**Always happy & healthy? happy & healthy by comparison to who or what??

Ivan

I think in general, vegetarians or vegans are more health conscious and therefore more healthy. As far as happiness goes, if you feel your diet is depriving you in one way or another you might not be so "happy go lucky"! You need to make the appropriate modifications.

I'm moody - about once per month. I also crave chocolate and like to watch sad movies.
:-) (lol)
But that's about all.

yesssssssssss
vegetarians are a bunch of crazy mofos.
they feel crushed by the buffalo they arent eating

All vegetarians I know are pasty complexion and extremely moody. There children are always sick and weak as well as behind in school. The ones who eat white meat are better than the pure vegetarians
