Is it healthier to be a vegetarian?!

Question: Do they live any longer than the rest of us?

Answers: Do they live any longer than the rest of us?

It is healthier to be conscious of your diet and eat carefully than to unconsciously eat by impulse. Vegetables and fruits are healthy, and so are some meats.

The key to longevity and quality of life as shown by the Body Mass Index study of 10,000 people over a ten year period, is keeping your weight within optimal limits. Vegetarians can binge on sweets and carbohydrates just as easily as non-vegetarians, and suffer the same consequences.

A well-balanced nutritional program including minerals, trace elements, vitamins, and anti-oxidants, is the foundation for building a healthy mind and body.

I have found a family of nutritional products that I know gives me the best chance for longevity and health. Email me if you would like particulars.

Living a long and healthy life.

It depends on other lifestyle choices too. But vegetarians have much lower cholesterol, saturated fat intake and healthier blood pressure and less arterial plaque. All of these point to longer healthier lives, especially for the animals!

umm yes and no meat has lots of protein and you need protein

For some instances yes, but also it is non-beneficial at the same time

From the many people I know who are vegetarian...it is the way to go. They all mention "not feeling heavy" from when they consumed meat. I am not a vegetarian but do see it being very beneficial and these days it seems to be easier since there is so much literature and veggie-friendly restaurants around.

i don't think so, you should always try feedinq on meat, it qives you alot of proteins.

Is it healthier to be a vegetarian? No. Not just by name. It all depends on EXACTLY what you eat and how much. A vegetarian can be healthy but then again, so can a vegan or a diet including meat in moderation.

Do they live any longer than the rest of us? Some do. Some don't. It has no bearing on longevity and I refer to my answer to your first question as the reason.

The Japanese live very long and have a low incidence of heart disease, cancer and obesity. They eat lots of fish, vegatables and rice, but very little red meat.

Vegetarians, as a group, have significantly lower than average rates of high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and colon cancer.

And, according to the Association for Gerontology, those who live the longest tend to be those who do not have diabetes or hypertension.

So, in general, yes, and yes.

yes, i feel not that heavy as i felt before and it is good for the metabolism and for your digest system etc

perhaps you have to eat in a diverse way, i mean not the same 3 or 4 food over and over again

Yes they live much longer. Vegans live longer but I don't think I'll go there

I can only speak for myself. I'm 52yo vegetarian. My brother and sister are 46yo and 49yo meat eaters. They have been on high blood pressure meds for years and have high cholesterol, but I have normal blood pressure and low cholesterol. I call them my older bro and sis. lol
