How many vegetarians in this forum are really omnivores in real life?!
I personally know both know these people. And while they do eat very little meat, they do eat meat especially chicken.
Answers: I know most of the posters here are really vegetarians but I know two posters who claim to be vegetarians but are really not.

Strange. I guess for some people, it's all about being cool and fitting in.
Curious. Why would anyone purport to be a vegetarian while noshing on chicken?
No animals on my plate. No way, no how...
Yes, the trolls. People are who so frightened and concerned by the vegetarian lifestyle (wrongly) that they will rather fraud other people, and try and make vegetarians look hypocritical rather than engage with the issues properly.
Its amazing to what extents the human psyche will go.
We are all omnivores
Omnivore is a biological classification, you cannot choose to be one or not, humans are omnivores.
Animals are either omnivore, carnivore or herbivore.
There are plenty of people who claim to be what they are not. Some do it knowlingly, some do it in error. Some delude themselves over the truth.
If you suspect they are doing this without knowing thier error, correct them politely.
If you think they are doing it knowingly, cut thier legs off with a blunt chainsaw.
Some of our trolls have claimed at some stage to be vegetarians. They fall into the height-reduction-by-chainsaw category
But, in this forum lying is not just the preserve of chicken eating veggies.
Post a question about "would you kill your own meat" or "do you buy organic because its better for animals" and you will get a response that would have you believe 90% of people killl thier own food and shop organically. Statistics tell us otherwise.
Probably many. Some are trolls and some hide in a closet while eating their MickeyDs.
Some people are working on it. Anyone who is trying is saving some animal lives...
that's really weird... i'm all for people doing what works for them and that going veg takes time, but i wouldn't call myself a veg if i was still in "transition"... you shouldn't call yourself a veg unless you really don't eat any meat. and yes, i really don't eat any meat, ever.
I'm not an omni.
Animal flesh makes me ill.
How interesting...why would someone want to claim to be something they're not?
That sounds really weird and confusing. Why would someone want to pretend to be something they're not?
I can understand if they might be transitioning still and want to interact with other vegetarians but I don't see why people would bluntly, flat out lie about it.
You should probably bring it up to them and find out what their motives are. Maybe they're trolling here, or something. Trying to add people as contacts, pretending to be vegetarians, and then picking through all their Q and A and reporting everything to get the reliable vegan and vegetarian contributors kicked off of Answers (trust me, it happens constantly, and it's really immature and stupid).
I doubt that many are. The two you refer to probably just slipped up. At least they're trying.
ewww i am not.
i mean i don't eat meat lol.
Hi! My religion calls for its adherents to be vegan for the majority of the year. The rest of the time we love our grilled everything. Though I've never yet answered a "vegan" question, I often come browse for vegan recipes.
If someone were to ask for vegan chocolate chip cookies, I would pass along my sisters' fantastic recipe. I sure hope that wouldn't be offensive to the community!
I also think a lot of people like to dabble in vegetarianism not for the sake of the animals but for the sake of their own health. It's clear from the Q&As on here that vegetarians look to be healthy and well-balanced in the food selections -- simply excluding meat. We can all benefit from each other's ideas :o).
At least 5. I think the Christy/Ashley troll set are omnis. I myself am an omni but have never claimed otherwise.
All babe all are omnivorous.
So are you saying you think only Vegetarian & Vegan people should answer Vegetarian & Vegan question's? that is a little closed minded isn't it?
cause there are some great Vegetarian & Vegan recipes i like despite the fact that i grew up on a working farm and still have old fashioned values.
