Answers: i just want to kow what do they eat.it just came to my head.

Last year it was just my bf, his mom and I -- the rest of both of our families were busy!
I made a tofurkey roast, stuffing, sweet potato and apple bake, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, scalloped broccoli and cauliflower and cornbread. For dessert we had maple pecan apple pie.

The year before we had my family and his family over. I made pumpkin soup, cornbread, cranberry sauce, seitan roulade, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potato and apple bake, cider glazed brussels sprouts, creamed spinach, green bean almondine, and butternut squash risotto. For dessert we had pecan pie, apple pie, sweet potato pie, pumpkin cookies, turkey shaped sugar cookies and chocolate covered strawberries.

If you want to send me an email, I can email you back the link to the pictures of TG dinner two years ago. I'd just rather not post it publically!

no we starve that day. lol. j/k

i know some who do tufurkey. i usually just eat salads, veggies, potatoes, roles... everything but the turkey.

Tofu turkey, in the shape of a real turkey; tried that once, not worth the bother though, it was expensive too. I just eat what I eat everyday.

I live in the UK so we don't have thanksgiving. What is it?

For Christmas dinner I have potatoes, loads of veg and a glass of bubbly!

[edit] Thanks Kim! I know what Thanksgiving is now. Sounds fun!

they eat a tofu turkey i think.

I usually make up a wheat gluten loaf, I't's a meatless-meatloaf. Gluten is the protean found in wheat. Then make up all the same veggiees that anyone else has for Thanksgiving. Also a veggie gravey made with lental beans.

To scottie - Thanksgiving is the name we give our harvest festival in the USA.

dal - roti naal thanda pani.

everything except the turkey and gravy

Same things I eat any other time of the year. As it's in October or November or whenever it is, probably something that's in season at that time. It's spring here then, so lots of things available.

Well I don't personally celebrate Thanksgiving (what a racists holiday against Native American Indians) but at Christmas I eat everything but the meat and gravy.

Everything on the table that doesnt have meat in it...and ALOT OF IT!! YUM! If you wanna be really nice, use veggie bullion to make a thickened gravy for you're veggie friends to enjoy with their mashed potatoes!

garden salads,...vegetable salads,...

Tofurkey

Tofurkey! Yum!

lotz & lotz of food! last year we started with: tempura veggie, inari, falaffel balls w/dip, grapes. next there was mashed spudz & cashew gravey, a Greek Feta cheez salad, a cassarol of crud, assorted veggies, and some cashew gravey then baked, mmmmm. then for desert there was, choc. chip cookies, no egg no bake Cheez cake, an indian sweet called Ladhu. oh yeah i forgot the herb & garlic rolls i made. yep i made all of it. actually made enough to feed 30! omg they ate it all!

I don't know because I'm not a vegetarian.

Thye eat pumpkin pie, salad, gravy, potatoes, etc...

A lot of them eat Tofurkey. I am the only one in my family who is a vegetarian, so the rest of them eat turkey. We always have lots of delicious sides though, so I don't go hungry. I was never a big fan of turkey even before I became a vegetarian so I don't miss it at all.

the side dishes man.

salad
rolls
potatoes-yams
vegetables
fruit
and the pies:]

i eat everything except the turkey.

duh.

Depends on the vegetarian. One year, it was just me and my sister and we made lasagna. Last year, I had my boyfriend's entire family over and his mom made a turkey and stuffing. I took charge of everything else and we had mashed potatoes, ginger roasted root vegetables, garlic roasted brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, gravy, salad, rolls, pumpkin pie and gingerbread apple pie, all of which was vegan.

I usually eat my main meal before I head out for Thanksgiving w/ the family and just eat the side dishes and dessert. Never liked tofurkey. They are starting to realize that I don't "pick out" the meat from any side dishes they make or eat anything w/ meat stock so they make mine separate now. They also make mushroom gravy all for me! They make sure I am satisfied because I'm always in charge of making dessert :)
