What do Vegitarians feed their pets?!

Question: What do vegitarians feed their cats and dogs? Do they deprive their pets of what they would really eat in the wild because of what THEY believe or do they feed them what you're suppose to feed your pets? I'd say i'm gonna get a few smart answers to this, it's just a question so if you can't take it, don't answer it.

I feed my cats meat because cats are carnivores and cannot thrive without meat. Withholding meat from my cats would be cruel to them. I am able to be vegetarian because my physiological makeup does not require meat to be healthy. I don't want a cow to die just because I feel like I want a steak. However, it is necessary for cats to eat meat, so I feed it to them.

Also, I should mention that, in a survival situation, I would definitely hunt and kill animals for food. Like I said, it's a matter of necessity. If we can live and be healthy without killing animals, why do it?

If you have a dog here is a site to get vegan dog food: http://www.v-dogfood.com/

There was a story about a crazy woman that had too many pets and was trying to make them all vegetarians. It was really sad. Most of them(the pets)were either blind or going blind from malnutrition. They were rescued and most lived and some even got most of their sight back.

I feed my dog regular food :)

Edit: by regular I mean, stuff I can get without having to order it online via a vegan site..
stuff with meat in it

I'm vegan, but my cats aren't. Cats are basically carnivores, humans aren't, so that's why I think it's acceptable for animals to keep eating whatever they need to survive rather than having their diet all screwed with by some human.

I feed my cats... cat food. They're obligate carnivores and need meat to survive. I am not an obligate carnivore and do just fine on a vegetarian diet.

I'm vegan, I feed my cat meet because he's a carnivore. As an omnivore, I can elect to follow a meat-free diet, as a carnivore he can't.

Some veg*ns try to feed their cats so-called veg*n cat food, but their cats will be supplementing this poor diet at other people's homes and with mice and birds.

If someone is not prepared to feed a cat meat, they shouldn't keep a cat.

One point though - very, very few people feed their animals what they would 'really eat in the wild'. Cats for example don't fish, and they don't kill cows or poultry for food, neither do they use ovens.

Soy products.
