Do vegetarians use regular bar soap or is that off limits too?!
Answers: What about other animal based products such as makeup, gum, conditioners, etc.I'm not being facetious, I just wanna know.
Vegetarians usually use regular soap and don't care about animal products in their body products. Vegans however are more strict and do not use ANY animal products in anything they use or consume.
my mom is a vegitarian and she dosent car if its an animal product but she will not eat it if it is meat or has meat in it so i dont think that soap effects vegitarians. but on the other hand vegans are just to worried about every thing and no thay dont use anyting that dose with animal products
It depends on the type of vegetarian that they are. Some vegetarians simply don't eat meat. Some do not eat ANY animal products at all and also do not use any animal byproducts. And some are somewhere in between.
It's fine as long as they don't eat it. Vegetarianism is a diet. Vegans however would have to use vegan soaps.
True vegetarians do not use cosmetics with animal-based ingrediants. A vegetarian knows whether or not a product has animal-based ingrediants by looking on the packaging for a bunny emblem which quarentees no animal testing/by-products.
Although, there are vegetarians who do not mind using animal-based products, and who just don't know that animals are used in making these products.
Also, if you aren't aware, there is a vast majority of vegan cosmetic products available to buy. Bar soap, liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner, all make-up, lotion, etc.
I hope this answers your question,
Bonne chance, et a dieur !
All the products you mention have easily-available alternatives that don't include animal products.
Most vegetarians and all vegans will use these alternatives
I thought they used petroleum products in commercial soap...some googling proved me wrong...great, I'm switching to Tom's now...sometimes it's just mis-education ppl.
There are numerous vegan bar soaps on the market. I also use vegan makeup (Urban Decay, for example, has many vegan items in its range, and there are several companies that make vegan cosmetics), vegan hair care products, and vegan skin care products. They are out there. Most of Wrigley's gums are accidentally vegan, but I have found a vegan brand of gum called B-Fresh, and I chomp that.
To answer your question: Vegans and vegetarians are not the great unwashed, so fear not.
what is "regular" bar soap? animal products don't make it regular. anyway i like dr. bronner's magic soap. it's obviously just a matter of eliminating animal-based products, so you could have answered this question yourself, pal
They use vasoline as shampoo and sleep in a nest of newspapers
