Kid friendly tofu recipes anyone???!


Question: Kid friendly tofu recipes anyone!?!?!?
Im looking for a kid friendly tasty recipe, my kids are picky eaters and have allergies to milk, egg, peanuts, mushrooms and I dont like the soy sauce sodium content so I'd need one with out soy sauce!. I would love a great tried out recipe for them made of tofu since we are trying out alternative healthier foods!. Im looking for a dinner option but any recipe would be great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make this for my daughter all the time!.

1) Cut up tofu into small squares
2) Put them in a frying pan with a little olive oil
3) Add spices such as garlic and onion powder, basil, turmeric, and paprika
4) Toss to coat and pan fry until heated through!.

For more flavour, you can marinate tofu in any type of sauce for at least two hours!. (Now that my girl is a little older, she prefers if I let the tofu sit in the seasoning blend for a bit and then heat it on the stove)!. Instead of soy sauce, you can get Braggs Liquid Aminos!. It's soy sauce with NO sodium or preservatives and it tastes great!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I bet they would like Baked Tofu Nuggets, Macaroni with Silken Tofu-cheese sauce, and Tofu Chocolate Pudding!.

I am a kid and my mom makes these for me and I looove them
veggie pasta

3 cups bite-size pasta, uncooked

--------------------------------------!.!.!.

1 can (680 mL) pasta sauce

--------------------------------------!.!.!.

2 pouches (1 cup each) frozen simulated ground beef, thawed
--------------------------------------!.!.!.

4 cups Italian-style frozen vegetable blend, thawed

2 Tbsp!.Light Grated Parmesan Cheese


(I use boca sometimes)
1 PREPARE a simulated beef veggies burger according to package directions!.

2 TOP with Bull's-Eye BBQ Sauce, red onion, tomato and lettuce!.

3 SERVE with your favourite fresh, raw summer vegetables!.



shake and bake tofu nuggets

1 SLICE extra-firm tofu into 1-1/2 inch nuggets!. Coat with Shake'n Bake Italian Coating!.

2 PLACE on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 10-15 min!.

try putting chunks of baked tofu into a pasta dish with cheese sauce and veggies!. amy's kitchen makes a meal like this called "country cheddar bowls" and they are delish!. it's like mac-n-cheese with carrots, peppers, broccoli, potatoes, and little chunks of baked tofu!. a real comfort food that i crave all the time!.

Vegan Mock Egg Salad

* ? c Veganaise
* several T red or green onion, finely minced
* 1 stalk celery, finely minced
* 2 T fresh parsley, minced
* 1-2 T Dijon mustard
* dash salt and pepper
* pinch curry powder or turmeric (for color)
* 1 pound tofu

Directions Combine everything but eggs!.

Crumble the tofu over the mayonnaise mixture and stir until blended!. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and serve!.

sloppy joes
Ingredients:

* 1 lb firm tofu
* 2 Tblsp oil
* 1 Tblsp chili powder
* 2 Tblsp minced green pepper
* 2 Tbsp minced onion
* 2 Tblsp minced parsley
* 1 tsp prepared mustard
* 1 cup water
* 1 cup water
* 1/4 cup catsup
* 2 tsp cider vinegar
* 2 tsp brown sugar
* Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

1!. Mash tofu and mince the green pepper, onion and parsley
2!. Heat oil in a large frying pan, fry tofu with chili powder and veggies, 5 minutes, on high
3!. Add everything else and simmer 10 minutes!. Serve over buns with fixin's

I make mock scrambled eggs for my daughter, we serve with soy cheese, turkey bacon and toast and she doesn't know the difference!. I also cube it, bread it and fry it in olive oil and serve on rice with any sauce you like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pasta Salad:

Ingredients:
Italian Dressing
Tofu
Pasta (I like to use the curly kind)
Bell Peppers chopped up into tiny pieces


Marinate the tofu in italian dressing for 24 hours!. Then cut it up into bit size cubes!. Then boil the pasta!. Let it cool and put it in a bowl!. Add the tofu and mix it up!. Then put more Italian dressing on top!. Mix it again!. Then Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
