Bad Food ALLERGIES!!!?!
Ok so my kids dont eat any dairy or eggs, but drink lots of soy milk and eat healthy!. They have life threatning food allergies and I cant give them any dairy or eggs so Im concered about there health and bones!. Anyone out there with the same problem as me and do you have answers!?!?!? Should I give supplements!?!? They eat meat but pretty much eat vegan because of there allergies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Like many people out there, it sounds like you've been intimidated into believing that dairy is essential for bones!. It isn't!.
In fact the animals protein in milk may cause bone problems as well in the long run!. This type of protein, once ingested, must be neutralised, since a lot of it becomes acidic in the blood!. And guess what one of these neutralisers is: yep, calcium, taken from the bone marrow! Yep, you won't hear about that in "Got Milk!?" ads!.
So I wouldn't feed your kids dairy to build strong bones, no matter what propaganda and advertising various industries might throw your way about milk being "essential" for strong bones!. Get calcium the same way the cows do: plant life!. Sources such as kale, collards, spring greens, for example, are all high in absorbable calcium, without the excess protein and fat that can cause health problems!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They can drink soy milk instead of regular milk!. It has the same amount of calcium!. Same with other drinks that are calcium fortified, like some types of orange juices!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are dietary supplements that provide calcium!. They make a kind that are shaped like gummy bears and taste really good!. Almost like candy!. They don't have any milk or eggs in them, but provide calcium!. My siblings and I loved these when we were little and refused to eat anything healthy and still eat them sometimes!. My wife had always been allergic to melons, but one day tried and organic melon, and she had no reaction at all!. Um, if they eat meat they are not vegan!. They are just lactose intolerant!.
