Even if your food is not specifically "genetically modified", the practice of modifying food plants through cross-breeding has been done for centuries!.
For example, if you've ever eaten corn, you've eaten a genetic _freak_ of a plant - made into a giant through manipulation of the pollenation process!.
As long as these efforts to improve plant production and hardiness are monitored to verify that genetic modification doesn't produce a toxic substance (for example, many plants have natural insecticides and insect repellants, so one would not want to over-emphasize those), genetically modified plants are perfectly safe!.
I think you may be unnecessarily jumping on a hysteria bandwagon!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
