I'm vegan too, and I'm 15!. I've been vegan for about a year, and so is my mum, so I guess it's easier for me!.!.
The thing you have to be careful about is iron (especially if you're a girl) and the vitamin B12, which is found mainly in eggs and dairy!. Swisse women's multivite is a good supplement because it has the daily reccomended amount of B12, and iron!.
For protein, make sure you eat beans, and lentils, etc!. It is also a good idea to eat wholegrains, such as brown bread, pasta and rice, because they provide extra protein and carbohydtrates!. However, the human body doesn't actually need as much protein as milk gives you!.
Another thing is calcium, which you can take as a tablet, but is also found in green leafy vegitables such as broccoli and spinach!.
You can also buy soymilks or ricemilks which have added calcium or protein, from natural sources like chickpeas!.
also, see your doctor for a blood test in case you aren't having enough of some vitamins or minerals, and they can reccomend you on what to do!.
oh and good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegan is more than just eating habits!. It isn't wearing leather, wool, fur etc!. Not using products tested on animals (It would say on the label)!. you should eat beans and lentils to get iron, protein, etc!. Nuts are good too!. As long as you havea varied diet, you should be okay, especially since you take a vitamin!. You should probably talk to a dietician!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Just do the best you can!. Call yourself an "aspiring vegan!." You can go genuine vegan when you're on your own and can do all your shopping!.
Go to your library!. Load up on books on nutrition!. Especially vegan nutrition!. Save your allowance to buy books!. Visit websites (such as the one below) and print good articles!.
Show your parents you are serious and not just following some trend!. Be prepared to know more than they do about nutrition!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm going to assume your family isn't vegan!.
The hard truth is that you are going to have to cook most of your meals yourself!.
Soups, pastas and stir frys are relatively simple and quick, and if you can find a vegan frozen burger that will make your life a lot easier!. For school lunches peanut butter sandwiches and apples and tofu wraps and dinner leftovers are great!.
Just be SURE to switch up your meals and eat lots of iron and protein-rich foods!.
This graph will help you plan your meals properly: http://www!.vegetarian-diet!.info/images/v!.!.!.
also, when buying food, always look out for these ingredients: lecithin, gelatin, lanolin, rennet, whey, casein, shellac!. They are NOT vegan!.
Another thing you are going to have to worry about it Vitamin B12!. B12 is a necessary vitamin that's almost impossible to find naturally outside of meat!. While many soy milks and veggie dogs are fortified with it, you really should start taking a pill daily to be certain you're up to par!.

I became vegan as a teen myself, and my parents didn't approve, and thought it was a fad!. Well, 8 years later, and I think they've been proved wrong :)
Educate yourself well, (using some of the site links mentioned by some of the other answers is a start), and make sure you get enough of all the essential vitamins and minerals etc!. (You shoudn't really need a multivitamin if done right, but it's ok as a safety net)!. This should put parents etc!. at ease if you're serious about it!. Most people (parents included unfortunately!) are not vegan nutritionists, however much "authority" they might claim on the subject!. So it's fair to say you'll have to do quite a bit of fact finding and stay kind, but firm in your views to win people over!.
But trust me, it's worth it!. The Earth and your body will thank you for it in the long run :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would go really slowly into it!. If you aren't already vegetarian, first eliminate red meats, then poultry, then fish!. Just go at your own pace!. Then do the same with vegan!. trust me, trying to get rid of everything at once is a lot to handle, and you'll probably be like screw it and give up after a couple of days!. so first stop consuming eggs, then milk, etc!. it does make it a little harder for you since you cant buy meat substitutes, but you really don't NEED those!. You can still eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, all grains (try whole grains, they're healthier) like couscous, quinoa, brown rice, buckwheat, etc!. they have strange names, i know lol, but i find them at my local grocery store!. you can also eat tree nuts for protein (peanut butter!!)!. A lot of protein and energy bars, like Clif and Luna bars are vegan, as well as oatmeal, a lot of cereals, and a lot of snack foods (just don't live off them!) Here are some websites i recommend looking at!.
