I do not know where you live, but Green Party USA in Saint Louis has a once-a-month vegan pot luck dinner!.
EVERY month they bring in about a dozen-and-a-half different dishes of vegan foods, from appetizers to main courses to desserts!. AND EVERY MONTH, there is a DIFFERENT set of a dozen-and-a-half dishes through the ENTIRE year~!!!!!! THEY KNOW HOW TO COOK!!!!! It's delicious!
By the way, I no longer live in Saint Louis, and I am not a vegetarian or a vegan, but I love their food! I often go to a vegetarian cafe named Fair Grounds here in Iowa City, and I order their Mediterranean Pita with an extra of sliced tomatos! Oh my gosh it is so good, with a hot tall cup of green tea (but, of course!)
Check out the telephone book for vegetarian restaurants and cafes in your area, there probably are some! You can sample their foods and decide what you like!. I have yet to eat a vegetarian or vegan meal cooked by real vegetarians or real vegans that was not tasty and satisfying! They even made a vegan "turkey" for Thanksgiving that was mouth-watering! No kidding!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hey there, good on ya for giving this some thought! Going vegan, done properly, is one of the best investments you can make for your health and the environment round you!.
I'd encourage you to educate yourself a little with some good vegan books and materials!. But to cut it short: we don't eat products that come from animals: meat, poultry, fish, eggs, milk and the like!.
So what's left!? Tonnes: every fruit, every vegetable, every grain you can think of (and there are lots!)!. Plus there are meat, dairy and egg substitutes out there if you like them and want them, made from plants!. Try looking up vegan recipes on Google or the like, and that'll give you an idea!.
Best of luck :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
