there's no age limit for when you should become a vegetarian because you can still get all the proteins and vitamins that you need from vegetables and other stuff without meatWww@FoodAQ@Com
it is safe at any age to be a vegetarian!. You can do so safely if you wish, always make your dietary choices carefully, though!. Many vegetarians experience having more energy and vitality from the food choices they make!. Many still do eggs and dairy, too!. There are varying degrees of being vegetarian!. Do some research and reading about it, so you can get the most out of what you are doing!. Hope this helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I was 13 when i became a veggie, well actually a pescetarian, im 15 now by the way =)!. i think it's easier to start of a pescitarian and slowly remove some meat from your diet thaan just stop cold turkey!. When i grow up im planning to be a full veggie and than progress into veganism!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Ideally (if it's well planned): from birth!. The science now increasingly agrees: a well planned veggie diet is the best start in life!.
But it's never too late to start :) Educate yourself about what foods are good to eat and such with good materials from say the Vegetarian and Vegan Societies and the like: they've been studying this for a long time!. If you make yourself ill through bad planning (and ANY diet can be a bad one if it's not planned right) than that's not good!.
But otherwise have fun with it, and don't mind what people think!. It's your life after all!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think in your teens when you can fully research and understand the whole lifestyle!. It really IS a lifestyle and should not be taken lightly!. There is a whole lot of information out there for you to read!. Make sure you are getting all of the nutrients that you need from all sorts of different foods!. There is alot to know about how you are nourishing your body, but, if you are serious, good for you! I am not a vegetarian, but, used to be, just couldn't stay away from steak!. :>)Www@FoodAQ@Com
That is a very sensible question!.
Can I suggest that the time to change would be when you understand values & balances of
what you would be going into!.
The mind is a powerful mechanism & something else may have influenced how you felt, not going without meat!.
I am neither for or against either especially but I eat very little meat!. I would be concentrating on what poisons are used on foods, including animals than whether to eat either!. Ecoli has been a worry lately!.
I dont suppose at 16yrs you would think of starting a project of growing your own!?
That way you would know there are no poisons & heck you may even be able to make money out of the excess!. Especially with the threatened Food Shortages & the rising prices of food!.
How enterprising are you!? Could you interest others in your area!?
Some might have land others may not but prepared to help with the work!.
Think about the rising cost of water also!. There are 4gal containers with a hose & steel end!.!.!. this you can poke into the ground to water near roots & a quick sweep of water over the plants saves a lot of water but is a little more time consuming!.
Any way I'm raving now but I hope I've given you food for thought!.
All the best!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
