Answers:
Nonsense!. If you are eating a varied diet, you do NOT need a multivitamin!. Both the Registered Dietitians of Canada and the American Dietetic Association's positions are that well-planned veg diets are just as healthful as omnivorous ones!.

That said, you DO need to eat varied foods to keep your vitamins and minerals up!.

Iron - Eat plenty of dried fruit, whole grains, seeds, nuts, green leafy veg, and legumes!. It helps if you eat vitamin C with your iron intake, like orange juice!.

Calcium - Eat calcium-set tofu, dairy products, soy milk, or greens!.

Vitamin B12 - Eat dairy, eggs, fortified cereal, nutritional yeast, or a vitamin pill!.

For the rest of your vitamins and minerals, you can get them easily if you have plenty of green and orange veg in your diet, whole, fresh fruit, dairy, wholegrains, nuts/seeds, legumes (lentils and chickpeas are super-healthy especially), and soy products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Dietary related hair loss is generally a sign of:

a) an eating disorder
b) a protein deficiency/general poor diet

PROTEIN: beans/legumes/nuts/seeds, soy products such as tofu/soy based dairy substitutes, dairy, eggs!.!.!.

If you are worried about IRON, good sources are dark green veg (spinach, broccoli etc) and mushrooms!. HOWEVER, to absorb iron properly/to its full potential, it is best consumed with some form of vitamin C (oranges, blackcurrants etc)!.

B12 is found in dairy products as well as savoury/nutritonal yeast and miso paste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
