I sympathize with your experience!.!. I've had the experience of (accidentally) eating meat, too, and it was just horrible!. I had been ordering these spring rolls which I thought were vegetarian, but then later found out that they contained pork and shrimp in them (it was minced up so small, and the colour was purplish in colour so it resembled taro)! I was horrified!. No wonder I always felt heavy and bloated after eating them!. One time I also bit into a roll which contained minced pork (again I was led to believe it was vegetarian), and almost puked from the experience!.
I think partly it's your mind feeling disgusted that you're eating meat, after having been a vegetarian for a few months!. The psychological effect is definitely there, I think!.
And agreeing with many of the posters before me, I think it's also because your body has gotten used to digesting vegetarian food, and it "rejected" the meat you consumed!.!.
I know it is tough getting criticism from the parents for being a vegetarian!.!. my family was not very supportive of me at all, but I stuck with it because I believe in it strongly and after becoming veggie, I don't think I can ever go back to eating meat again!. Just the thought of it disgusts me!.
I hope you don't bow to the pressure of your parents!.!. being a vegetarian will benefit you, and don't let anyone try to convince you otherwise! Besides, there are lots of other sources to get protein other than meat!.!. maybe you can try telling that to your parents!
I hope I helped; good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your stomach is probably hurting because you haven't digested meat in a really long time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I hear this a lot!.

If you don't eat meat for a while, it can 'shock' your body if you reintroduce it back into your diet!.

Stay strong! Stay veg!! :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not an expert or anything but I think you are right about your body may not be used to the meat, think how much fat and perservatives there are in the meat!.It could also cause cause headache's but not in everyone!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

your body is "rejecting it" because its not used to digesting itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Animal products take longer to digest!. So of course your stomach may feel queesy once you start eating animal products, you may even be a little gassy too! I've read that once you decide to go back to eating meat/animal products, you should start with broths, and then work your way back up to solids!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As others have said, you're having a hard time digesting it!.

Eat a lot (and I mean A LOT) of hard, raw vegetables like carrots, celery and cauliflower!. They go through you system incredibly quickly and when they do, they push out everything else!. Drink lots of water!.

Good luck, hope you're feeling better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

People who have been fasting from flesh foods for months should be aware that their bodies have been cleansing the toxins and residue from all the flesh foods they had eaten up until they decided to go vegetarian!. So, it is not surprising that you felt ill!. Psychologically and physically!. The harsh reality is you have been eating a healthy, clean diet of live foods and have not been eating anything laden with antibiotics or growth hormones in it either!. Those things are not exactly healthy for anyone!. Am I clear!? If you putrefy your body with decomposing flesh what do you expect!? And pork!? OMG! Not the best choice to break a fast with!. Seriously, flesh foods have no fiber to sweep the colon clean and it can take up to two weeks for the colon to rid itself of the putrefying residue which is why so many American omnivores are also chronically constipated and cranky!
FYI many diseases stem from such constipation!.
I hope you are feeling better and that you don't give in to parental or peer pressure against your better judgment again!. Have the courage of your convictions!. Stand strong and know that as a vegetarian you are eating a healthier diet than 90% of the rest of your countrymen, and thirty years from now, when they are all ill you'll still be vital and healthy!!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

that happened to me too!.!. i accidentally bit into a pork egg roll(i thought it was veggie) i had to swallow it because i was out to dinner and there were a lot of people around me!.!.!. i immediately felt like i was going to puke!.!. it was like my stomach rejected it or something!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

its all to do with your mind, not your body, our bodys can obviously digest it, and yours has been doing so for many years now, a 4month break isn't going to send your body into shock when you eat abit of meat!.
you probably feel sick because you didn't want to eat it!.

i think your parents are being unfair on your choice to be veggy, make it clear to them your not going to give in anymore,Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is probably all in your head!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

same happened to me but i think its just ur bodys not used to it
if it didnt happen before you went veg then youll be fine
if you did have pain before then ur sick :(Www@FoodAQ@Com

IT WAS THE PORK MADE YOU SICK AND YOUR FATHER DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
