Answers:
As a vegan I can tell you that being a vegetarian is not at all difficult and I am sure that you can do it and after 2 weeks you will want to change for the rest of your life!.

Just a note, do NOT let people tell you that you can not get protein as a vegetarian!.

Here are some good sources of protein: http://www!.vrg!.org/nutrition/protein!.htm

Some of them are for the more long-time vegan/vegetarian, like tempeh, but I am sure you can handle peanut butter, or some beans!.

There are so many great vegetarian dishes I couldn't possible begin to list them!.!.!. http://www!.vegweb!.com has some good recipes though!.!.!. so check em out!.

Edit: Just as a side note!. Men was created to be herbivorous!. Our flat teeth for example is characteristic of herbivores!. Mankind has adapted to murdering animals to fill its own sadistic glutony!. /end mini rantWww@FoodAQ@Com

Here are some good recipes:

Stir fry- You need cut up tofu, soy sauce, olive oil, steamed veggies, and cooked rice

Get a frying pan and coat it with olive oil!. The put the tofu in the pan and brown each side of it!. Next, add the veggies!. Add a little soy sauce and put in the rice!. Mix everything up and then let it sit on the stove, occasionally stirring it to make sure it doesn't burn!. After about a minute and a half of that put it in a bowl and enjoy!

Hummus- chick peas, lemon juice, paprika, black pepper, and any other spices/seasonings you like

Puree the chick peas!. Then add a little lemon juice, paprika, pepper, and other spices!. Then stir!. Serve with a pita, with cucumbers, or on a veggie wrap!.

Whole foods is a great store for vegetarians/vegans, so I recommend grocery shopping there!. You also can get a lot of the things I listed above there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Being a vegetarian is not a bad thing, but it does require you to take in more protein!. I say since ur only sixteen, stick with high protein meats, such as chicken and beef only!. Pork is disgusting and pork has alot of diseases that it can cary!. But technically speaking, we humans do not fall under herbivores or carnivores, were ominivores, meaning we can eat both vegies and meat!. So i mean, their is no reason to become an herbibvoire unless if you would like to go on a diet or something!. See i don know why u wanna be a vegie, but if it is because you hate animal crime or something, lol, then screw that!! And plus youll have to get protein from another product such as beans, and supplements!. but hmm to answer ur question i would say
Lean Cuisine- Macoroni, Lassagnia with cheese only
CHeese pizza
Salads, would be good
for breakfast, have french toast, and cereal, or just alot of fruits or dry fruits!.
Dinner-hmmm salad!? lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

Boca has some good products like meatless hamburger patties and "ground beef" that you could make spaghetti or a taco salad with!.

Morningstar has some "bacon" strips that you could eat with breakfast (really good with toast and an egg) or you could make a blt sandwich out of them!. They even have corn dogs!.

If you don't want to use anything like that then things like grilled cheese sandwiches(for lunch) and yogurt with fruit and oatmeal for breakfast would be good sources of protein!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!! here are some meal suggestions to get you started!. you also might want to visit www!.theveggietable!.com where they have a TON of vegetarian and vegan recipes that you can even search by ingredient!.

breakfast:
yogurt with berries and granola
handful of almonds
juice or soymilk

snacks:
hummus w/ pita
peanut butter on anything =)
fruits
nuts
seeds

lunch:
pita pocket filled with veggies, black beans, cheese, and spicy chipotle dressing
a piece of fruit, i like oranges
water

dinner:
tofu veggie stir fry!! (i know it's the standard, but it's my fave)
soymilk
throw some cashews or peanuts in your stir fry for asian flavor AND protein

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!! veggielovin =D

also, you may want to give it more than two weeks!.!.!.!.depending on how you make the transition that may be too soon to know if it is successful for you!. learning new recipes and adjusting your diet takes time!. don't worry though, it's worth it and then some!!!! it always makes me so happy to see a new veggie =DWww@FoodAQ@Com

I just stopped eating meat very recently!. It was an easy transition after reading the book Skinny ***** (check it out it should put you where you want to be!) Here is what I ate today!.!.!.
Breakfast- granola bar and an apple
lunch-pimento cheese on whole wheat toast and pretzels
dinner- a moring star farms meatless chicken patty on a whole wheat bun and a salad with imitation bacon bits!.
i drank lots of water as well!. if you are gonna go for the soy meats be sure not to over do it as they are HIGH in sodium!. I shoot for once a day usually at dinner time!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yaay for you! Again, please don't let anyone tell you that you need meat!. You don't! There are plenty of high protein cereals, shakes, etc!. for breakfast- I usually have almonds and a grapefruit w/ soy milk!. For lunch and dinner, there are so many choices-pastas, fruits, veggies, salads, Chinese food!.!.!. I can find something everywhere I go!. It is so much healthier!. I know you will feel the difference! Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course!

If not YOU, then WHO!?
If not NOW, then WHEN!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

i know you want meal suggestions, but i just want to say i dont think you should give up all other meat so suddenly!. your body might not agree with it and it makes you much more likely to cave in when you have a craving
when i became a vegetarian, i gave up poultry first, because i hardly ate it anyway!. then i stopped eating red meat -the biggest feat for me!. when i was finally secure that i wouldnt cave into cravings for red meat i gave up the thing i ate most -fish!. over time it gets easier but dont do it suddenly or else you WILL get cravings and probably give into them!. it was extremely hard for me to ignore them but i did, and it was the best decision of my life!.

good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
