There are vegan restaurants literally EVERYWHERE!.
I've only been vegan for two years but i've never had trouble finding a place!. I use to live in orange county and i've found that has the most strictly vegan places out of anywhere i've lived!. my favorites are Native Foods, Wheel of Life (that's a super new agey one), and Veggie Grill!. They're amazing, believe me!. San Francisco also has a lot of options from Lane Spliters (amazing vegan pizza) to Millennium, which is a super expensive 5-star, strictly vegan place!.
But where ever you live you can look for place through vegguide!.org or just through google, there's always amazing places nearby, especially in more urban areas which is funny since most people think only hippies are vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There's a vegetarian eco-cafe in Washington, DC, that serves Korean-inspired dishes, paninis, wraps, and salads!. They're in the downtown area, and most of their clientele is nonvegetarian!. I wouldn't say it has a hippie, new age thing going on, but they use all wind energy, and they also use organic ingredients for the food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
In my city, there's a collective co-op 100% vegan cafe/ anarchist bookstore!. It's awesome!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
